Dr. Demetre Daskalakis has been appointed by Biden as the White House National Monkeypox Response Deputy Coordinator. "Fenton and Daskalakis will lead the administration's strategy and actions to address the current monkeypox outbreak, including equitably improving the availability of testing, vaccination and treatment."
