The 5 pointed star symbolism in the vision of John of Kronstadt
"I then saw a group of people, both old and young, all of whom were terribly dressed, and who were raising a large, five pointed star. On each corner were twelve demons and in the middle was satan himself with terrifying horns and a straw head. He emitted a noxious foam onto the people while pronouncing these words, "Arise you accursed ones with the seal of ..." Suddenly many demons appeared with branding irons and on all the people they placed the seal on their lips, above the elbow and on their right hands. I asked the Elder, "What is the meaning of this?" He responded, "This is the mark of the Antichrist!" I made the sign of the cross... Finally, I saw the cupola of Jerusalem. Above it was a star. Within the church millions of people thronged and still many more were trying to enter. I wanted to make the sign of the cross, but the Elder grabbed my hand and said, "Here is the abomination of desolation!" (John of Kronstadt, 1901)

The oscillating curves of a sine wave become a disfiguring characteristic in Léo Caillard’s ongoing Wave Stone series. Carved in white Carrara marble and stone with green and gray ripples, the French artist’s sleek renditions of Aphrodite, Laocoön, and Venus appear to have warped, glitched, or transformed into a tight spiral. Much of Caillard’s work is anachronistic, and he tells Colossal that “the face of the statue connects the piece to its reality, a representation of a classical and iconic figure from the past,” while the abstractions create new gaps of negative space.
How to make a person act in the right way?
No need to coerce, all you have to do is start a logical chain.
- Start with a commitment.
Say that the person you're talking to is very good at something he's not really good at. The person making the commitment will do anything to fulfill it.
For example, if a person is recognized as the best programmer in the company, he will program three times as much, just to justify the commitment he has made. The mechanism of consistency kicks in: "If I am, then I must do this, this, and this...".

On September 6, 1915, a prototype tank nicknamed Little Willie rolls off the assembly line in England. Little Willie was far from an overnight success. It weighed 14 tons, got stuck in trenches and crawled over rough terrain at only two miles per hour. However, improvements were made to the original prototype and tanks eventually transformed military battlefields.
