In this paper I will focus on one possibility: that future people might use biomedical technology to morally enhance themselves

There has long been evidence from adoption and twin studies of a genetic contribution to aggression, and there is now growing evidence implicating a polymorphism in the Monoamine Oxidase A gene, and, at the neuro-physiological level, derangements in the serotonergic neurotransmitter system. Race aversion has been less well studied. However, a series of recent functional magnetic resonance imaging studies suggest that the amygdala — part of the brain already implicated in the regulation of emotions — plays an important role. Given this progress in neuroscience, it does not seem unreasonable to suppose that moral enhancement technologies which operate on relatively simple emotional drives could be developed in the medium term.
