Undying Dusk is a game made in 2020 - 2021 by Lucas Cimon entirely in PDF format. This's one of the most unique game concepts made.

The game is set in a fantasy realm where a curse set by the Empress keeps the world in an eternal dusk. You play a woman who recently found shelter in an eerie monastery.

The game has retro aesthetics, 160x120 resolution & a 16 colors palette grid-based world with 50+ distinct tiles & 10 maps to explore with more than 30 treasure items, weapons & spells to pick up in order to face 15 enemy monsters and it also has 20 music tracks, thousands of "Game Over" pages, and a single path to victory with 4 hidden secrets & a concealed epilogue

You can more around, interact, listen to music, pick up object and just have a full on adventure all inside a PDF. Now as you can imagine each move will link you to a different page in the PDF making the entire PDF ~200,000 pages long, making it one of the biggest PDF files out in public.

Elden Ring is one of my most favorites open world games ever. Not just on the basis of plots and stories but technicality and design. It just blows my mind how the artist and devs came together and build such a mind blowing (and heart wrenching) game.

Ofcourse I don't advise people playing it cause it's not good for your time or mental peace but it is an engineering feat.

Inspired by the video Kryptos, Kerod from @DotNetWarrior made his own logical encryption algorithm and then encrypted a paragraph.
