Why does anyone use seed oils other than pure cost? I can buy 4 pounds of butter at Costco for 12$, clarify it, and have ~3.4lbs of clarified butter, which has a smoke point of like 450°F, which is high enough to fry in
Sure, might take me a little time to do it, but it's infinitely better than seed oils even for being straight fat. I get convince is king, but come on, this is easy. You boil the butter for 15 minutes and then let is cool so you can remove the whey & solids. 90% of the recipe is doing nothing
