A Russian mafioso enters an elite restaurant, sits down at a table and orders a champagne. Next to him, a trim and proper intellectual tells the waiter:
- I would like to have a 1961 Bordeaux and a well-roasted corn-fed Spanish chicken — and make sure that the crust is crisp.
The waiter opens a bottle and pours a glass of wine. The man takes a sip:
- Excellent!
Next, a chicken roast is brought in. The intellectual takes his index finger and shoves it inside the chicken's rear. After pulling it out, he gives it a smell:
- This is an outrage! I asked for a Spanish chicken, but this one was raised west of Lyon and was fed with wheat!
The waiter apologizes profusely and takes the dish to the kitchen. The head chef is stupefied. He immediately arranges for a new chicken to be made, which by all measures should be from Spain. The intellectual repeats the procedure and exclaims:
- Ridiculous! This chicken was raised south of Naples and it was fed with millet!
The waiter takes the chicken away again. Finally, the Russian mafioso, after seeing everything unfold, walks up to the table and drops a thick wad of money:
- Friend, can you do the same to me? I grew up in an orphanage.
