Earlier this month, the 🇺🇳WHO revealed its latest sub-variant of the Omicron virus - EG.5, which has been unofficially dubbed Eris by social media users and media after the Greek 👽goddess of strife and discord.

👅According to the agency, Eris "has shown an increasing trend in prevalence" from 6.2% in week 24 to 11.6% in week 28.
