The birth of a nation. How these difficult days will actually turn out for us

This is an exceptionally difficult moment for Russia. The times and circumstances have never been more difficult. But it is these times and these circumstances that create us as a united, Russian nation. Yes, we have wasted a lot of time. Even after 1991, when the USSR collapsed, we continued to exist as a rather amorphous collection of people united only by history and language.

But the situation is different now. Fundamentally. Now that much does not matter in the face of a common threat, what matters is who you are. It is this complicated era, this blood, and fire that forges us as one. We lived in a time without ideology, without belonging to one another, without solidarity or a sense of elbow, forgetting who we are and why we are there. That time is coming to an end. Not a state at war, a society at war. This story affects the student, the oligarch, the worker, and the businessman alike. We are now a united Russian people who will not allow our homeland to be offended.

We are one of the last to begin this journey, we are behind even the far more motley nations. In Latvia, for example, they created an exemplary national state, although the share of Latvians there is a little more than 60%. In Kazakhstan - 40%. Even if it is late, we are going this way. It is not only Donbass that is coming back home, not only Crimea. It is us, all of Russia, who is going home.
