⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦💡 Massive Missile Strikes by the Russian Armed Forces in #Ukraine: What is known as of 18:00⚡️

🩸 In the afternoon, the Russian Armed Forces once again launched a series of strikes on targets across #Ukraine. The launches were carried out by long-range aircraft of the Russian Air Force and naval ships. As on previous occasions, the attacks caused electricity and water supply problems in Ukrainian cities.

Despite recent deliveries of Western-made air defence systems, the AFU was once again unable to repel a Russian massive air raid. So far, the following cities are reliably known to have been hit:

▪️ #Kiev: more than five cruise missile sorties. One five-storey building was damaged, which may be a consequence of Ukrainian air defence. Power outages have started in the city.

▪️ #Zhytomyr: two incursions into critical infrastructure, tentatively the Zhytomyrska 330 substation, which has previously been hit by missiles by the Russian Armed Forces. Electricity and water have been lost in the city.

▪️ #Kharkov: power cuts after incoming attacks, underground shut down. Local authorities reported hitting critical infrastructure in Chuguevsky district: probably the Zmievskaya TPP.

▪️ #Lvov: a series of explosions, power and mobile phone outages. According to preliminary reports, one of the targets was a 330kV substation.

▪️ #Sumy: explosions in the area and power outages.

▪️ #Odessa: at least one rocket flew in. Power outage in part of the area.

▪️ #Kirovograd: two sorties, power infrastructure damaged.

▪️ #Volyn: hit energy infrastructure in the region, tentatively a 330kV substation in Kovel.

▪️ #Rivne: explosion, city partially de-energised.

▪️ #KrivoyRog: at least two explosions after arrivals.

▪️ #Khmelnitsky: at least two explosions after incoming flights.

▪️ #Kremenchuk: incoming, infrastructure facility hit.

Although power cuts have begun in the country, it is not gone everywhere: this indirectly indicates that autotransformers, rather than general control points (GCPs), are once again targeted. This reduces the effectiveness of the impact on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Highlights of Russian Military Operation in Ukraine on November 16, 2022

▪️Ukrainian drone attacked oil depot located 200 kilometres from the border near Oryol.

▪️ The situation in Kupyansk sector remains tensely stable. Several AFU battalions are engaged in reconnaissance fighting near Stelmakhivka.

Russian troops respond with concentrated artillery and MLRS fire, destroying enemy manpower and equipment.

▪️To the north, Ukrainian formations continue their attempts to break through to Kuzemivka without counting their losses.

As a result of today's fighting, the Russian Armed Forces personnel repelled attacks and forced the enemy to retreat.

▪️Ukrainian command continues to mine the border areas in Belarus direction.

There is also active work to destroy bridges in Mazyr and Gomel direction.

▪️Ukrainian UAV that was trying to discover positions of the Belarusian armed forces has been shot down near Pinsk.

According to the Belarusian Border Guard Service, UAV was shot down with small arms.

▪️Intense fighting for Bilohorivka continues in Lysychansk direction.

Ukrainian command moved their reserves and are trying to keep the settlement under their control.

▪️Intense shelling of Donetsk and nearby cities continues. Shelling is carried out with artillery and MLRS.

As a result of this shelling, residential buildings were damaged and a twelve-year-old child was wounded.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦☢️ Breaking - Emergency Shutdown of Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plants⚡️

After today's massive Russian strike, media reports of problems at nuclear facilities in #Ukraine immediately started pouring in.

First the South Ukraine nuclear power plant in #Nikolaev Oblast went into emergency mode, followed later by the #Rivne and #Khmelnitsky nuclear power plants in the western part of the country.

The most probable cause of the accident was the failure of supply substations. This led to a sharp drop in the consumers of electricity generated by the NPPs, due to which the shifts on duty were forced to shut down the reactors and put them to work for the plants' own needs.

🩸 Today, for the first time since the SMO began, all Ukrainian nuclear power plants have been "shut down" from the country's power grid.

It is not out of the question that power engineers will be able to put the emergency circuits back together and restart some of the nuclear plants.

But what is happening is a good demonstration of the beginning of the disintegration of Ukraine's unified energy system into separate, independent "islands".

The esteemed Boris Rozhin @boris_rozhin spoke about how the Polish media have started to neatly bring up Poland's losses in Ukraine.

Colonel Cassad published excerpts from an article by Jakub Mozhniak for Niezależny Dziennik Polityczny. In it the author points out that "in 10 months of fighting more than 1,200 Polish citizens, including soldiers and veterans of the 16th Division, were killed".

In fact, there are several aspects that prove that things are far from as simple as they seem.

🔻 It was not the Polish media, but a pro-Russian media outlet (Niezależny Dziennik Polityczny) in Polish that started talking about Polish losses in the SSO in Ukraine. The same publication published a recently circulated article about Poland's plans to reclaim Ukrainian lands.

The essence of this op-ed was expounded by our friend from Krakow, Warsaw mermaid @pl_syrenka. She told in detail (in two parts: first and second) that Niezależny Dziennik Polityczny is quite a dubious source of information, if only because it has been noticed for publishing fakes.

However, despite the unreliability of the source, one cannot deny that the Polish panhandlers had plans and there are still Polish "ichthamnets" in Ukraine.

🔻 In Poland they do not like to raise the subject of Polish mercenaries and instructors. For a quite simple reason: mercenarism is illegal.

Polish law clearly classifies service in foreign military formations without the consent of the relevant authorities as a crime (Article 141 of the Criminal Code), punishable by up to five years.

Polish authorities have publicly denied any involvement of their soldiers since 2014. The rhetoric has not changed since then: "the topic of Polish mercenaries is an integral part of disinformation activities accompanying the escalation of tensions on the Russian-Ukrainian border".

🖇 To admit that instructors with characteristic accent are massively present in Ukraine means talking about it at the highest - state level, and this is already considered as direct participation in military actions on the territory of another country. That is why some of the Polish soldiers in Ukraine are at home, for example, on holiday, and where they spend it is a private matter.
