⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Situation in #Starobelsk Direction at 14:00 on 18 Oct 2022⚡️
▪️ In the #Kupyansk sector, units of the AFU´s 14th Mechanized Brigade made another unsuccessful attempt to storm the Russian Forces' position at the #Kislovka - #Kotlyarovka line. Two enemy companies came under heavy artillery fire and withdrew to their initial positions with losses.
▪️ In the vicinity of #Dvurechnoye, units of the Russian Forces counterattacked units of the 1st Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine and repulsed units of the AFU from #Gorobyevka. The enemy moved to a defensive position on a small bridgehead on the eastern bank of the #Oskol River.
▪️ In the #Lyman - #Svatovo section, preventive artillery strikes were carried out against groups of the 71st Jager, 80th Airborne Assault and 25th Airborne Air Force Brigades of the AFU in the areas of the villages of #Stelmakhovka, #Rozovka, #Karpovka, #Ivanovka.
The enemy's preparations for crossing the #Zherebets River have been disrupted and the AFU assault units are regrouping.

In the #Svatovo direction, the concentrated fire of Russian troops foiled the attempts of the AFU militants to force the #Zherebets River in the areas of #Nadiya, #Stelmakhovka, #Makeevka LPR and #Yampolovka DPR.
Russian artillery fire and army aviation strikes drove the enemies back to their initial positions. More than 40 Ukrainian militants, two armoured combat vehicles and three pick-up trucks were destroyed.

#Kupyansk Sector:
▪️ The enemy does not undertake any active offensive actions. Artillery duels are taking place along the line of contact.
#Svatovo Sector:
▪️ AFU units lost part of the territories near #Kuzemovka and retreated to #Berestovoye.
▪️ From the #Berestovoye area, a reinforced enemy battalion made another attempt to attack #Kuzemovka. After losing more than 10 armoured vehicles, the AFU withdrew to its initial positions.
#Lyman Sector:
▪️ Daily Ukrainian attacks towards #Krasnopovka by 2 battalion tactical groups reinforced with armoured vehicles.
▪️ In another attack attempt, the enemy was hit by Russian artillery and military aviation before retreating to a bridgehead near the #Zherebets River.
▪️ The AFU still has a reserve of at least six battalion-tactical groups at its disposal. This still allows Ukrainian commanders to rotate and try to wear down the Russian defences without regard to their own losses.
#Lysychansk Sector:
▪️There are no significant changes in the frontlines. Russian Forces continue to shell AFU positions near #Belogorovka and #Grigorovka.

#Kupyansk Sector:
▪️ The AFU is restoring the combat capability of units of the 14th Mechanized Brigade after the failed offensive on #Yagodnoye. Rotations are being conducted in the compound's strongholds.
▪️ Fighters of the 14th Mechanized Brigade are spreading information about the disappearance of brigade commander Colonel Ohrimenko, after SBU officers accused him of causing mass casualties.
#Svatovo Section:
▪️ An Ukrainian SRG of the 71st Jager Brigade, which crossed the #Zherebets River the day before, is operating in the #Kolomiychikha - #Kuzemovka area.
▪️ UAVs of the 14th and 92nd Mechanized Brigades are actively reconnoitering Russian positions along the #Pervomayskoye - #Kovalevka line of contact. AFU artillery fires on identified targets.
▪️ The 233rd Battalion of the 128th AFU Territorial Defence Brigade is planned to be redeployed to the #Stelmakhovka area for personnel rotation. Engineering units of the 92nd Mechanized Brigade will equip more fortifications.
#Lyman Sector:
▪️ Assault groups of the 66th Mechanized AFU Brigade attacked the Russian positions in the direction of #Ploshchanka. Russian forces repulsed the assault.
▪️ To reinforce the forward lines, Russian forces deployed missile launchers and artillery ammunition from #Slavyansk to the #Nevskoye area.
▪️ Russian UAV operators detected the movement of an AFU supply convoy. At least one armoured fighting vehicle with ammunition for Ukrainian forces was hit by artillery fire.
