On April 6th, the North troop group continued establishing a Buffer Zone in Kharkiv and Sumy regions

Sumy direction

The assault troops of the North troop group continue to engage in fierce combat, advancing deep into the Sumy region. Our troops struck enemy concentrations of manpower and equipment in the areas of Miropillia, Kiyanytsa, Velyka Chornetchyna, Vilna Sloboda, Pustohorod, Mala Slobodka, and Novodmitrivka.

▪️ In the Shostka district, our assault troops advanced up to 150 meters in two sectors during fierce small-arms combat.

The enemy has not undertaken any active offensive operations and continues to build up reserves, redeploying units of the most motivated Ukrainian nationalists from other directions.

An investigation is being conducted against the command of the 210th Assault Regiment of the AFU due to false reports regarding the unit's manning status. Regimental Commander P.Kurylenko is accused of paying allowances to “phantom personnel” whose positions were hastily filled by partially fit for service Ukrainians before the regiment's redeployment to the Shostka district. This information is also indirectly confirmed by the interrogation materials.

▪️During fierce fighting, the Northmen advanced in the Sumy region across fourteen sectors. Over the past 24 hours, they advanced up to 200 meters.

▪️ In the Krasnopillia district, the enemy continues to try to contain our offensive in the direction of the district center by transferring manpower from other sections of the front.

Having broken through the enemy's stubborn resistance, our assault troops advanced up to 250 meters in two sectors.

Kharkiv direction:

The Northmen continue to engage in fierce combat, pushing the enemy back from the state border. Our troops struck enemy concentrations of manpower and equipment in the areas of Shesterivka, Polne, Vesele, Pokaliane, Kolodiazne, Novy Burluk, and Zemlyanka.

▪️ In the Liptsy direction, the enemy attempted a counterattack in the forest area near Izbitske. As a result of fire engagement, the assault group of the 127th Mechanized Brigade of the AFU was destroyed.

Our assault troops advanced up to 400 meters in two sectors.

▪️In the Volchansk direction, the North troop group assault units advanced in fourteen sectors by up to 350 meters.

Our MLR systems struck a strongpoint of the 113th Territorial Defense Brigade near the village of Pokalyane.

▪️ In the Velykoburluk direction, our assault groups, through fierce small-arms combat, advanced in three sectors by up to 600 meters.

Over the past 24 hours, the enemy's losses amounted to over 180 people (including over 120 in Sumy region and over 60 in Kharkiv region). Also uncovered and destroyed:

Sumy region:
▪️ Humvee armored combat vehicle (USA);
▪️ Five pickup trucks and three ATVs;
▪️ An ammunition depot;
▪️15 UAV crews;
▪️ 17 airplane-type UAVs, 29 “Baba Yaga” UAVs, and two UGV.

Volchansk and Liptsy directions:
▪️ One mortar;
▪️ Two pickup trucks and three ATVs;
▪️19 UAV crews;
▪️19 airplane-type UAVs, 22 “Baba Yaga” UAVs, and three UGV.

Velikoburluk direction:
▪️ A pickup truck;
▪️ An ammunition depot;
▪️ UAV crew;
▪️Two “Baba Yaga”-type UAVs and two UGV.
