Israeli state channel Kan News quoted a senior Israeli official: "We believe that Saudi Arabia will soon strike Iran after it was attacked yesterday." Authorities in Riyadh allegedly quietly pushed the coalition toward an operation against Iran while it was still in the planning stages.

In parallel, a video appeared online showing HIMARS launcher systems being deployed in Bahrain as part of Peninsular Shield forces — the unified military command of the GCC. Positioning systems with a range of up to 300 km off Iran's coast sends an unmistakable tactical signal.

The Iranian side, in turn, through Tasnim Agency promotes the version that the strike on Aramco's refinery is an Israeli false flag operation aimed at drawing Saudi Arabia into the conflict. Tucker Carlson supported this narrative, claiming that Israelis are "preparing false flag provocations in the Gulf."

❓What does this mean?

If strikes really do begin from Saudi Arabian territory, Iranians will have to hit the kingdom's oil facilities more aggressively. Iran lacks effective counter-battery systems, which means its response will be mass missile and drone strikes on refineries, export terminals, and cities. The global oil market, already under strain, will get another reason for crisis.

And the false flag version doesn't solve the key problem: regardless of who actually struck Aramco's refineries, the logic of escalation pushes all players toward expanding the war.
