On the cost of intercepting Iranian "ballistic" volleys

After reviewing the Russian segment online, we concluded that many are interested in the question of how much it costs to repel an Iranian attack. Since exact figures don't exist online, this generates speculative estimates with a wide range.

Therefore, we decided to conduct an analysis based on specific official data from the UAE Armed Forces on the number of intercepted missiles. There is no information about the quantity and type of air defense missiles, so we examined three scenarios: two PAC-3 from "Patriot" per target, four PAC-3 per target, as well as THAAD for every fifth target.

Taking into account the cost of interceptors ($7.5 million for PAC-3 and $20 million for THAAD) and 169 officially intercepted Iranian missiles, the figures come out to between $2.5 and $3.2 billion. And this is only three days of war, not even accounting for the cost of intercepting drones.
📌 For perspective: depending on the scenario considered, repelling Iran's attacks cost the UAE budget two to four Burj Khalifa skyscrapers. Someone locally joked that it would have been more beneficial to build them on the coast and stretch a net between them.

But the Persians' strikes were also repelled by air defense systems of the USA, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and Jordan. And knowing the price range from the UAE example, one can easily project and calculate the total air defense costs over 3 days. This could be over $100 billion.
❗️In general, someone will have to spend very well to replenish arsenals. And given the limited production capacity in the USA, this means a shortage of Patriot missiles and a queue for them, where someone will be pushed to the back. For example, the so-called Ukraine.
