πŸ‡·πŸ‡Ίβš”οΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦Kiev is in its most vulnerable position in two years of war, and there is a risk of a collapse of Ukrainian forces and a Russian breakthrough.

Bloomberg writes about this.

The publication said Russia's missile attacks on Ukraine's energy system, bombing of its second-largest city and advances along the front are fueling fears that the military conflict in Ukraine is nearing a turning point.

Today the concient world celebrates the International Day of the Liberation of Prisoners of Nazi Concentration Camps

The date of April 11 was set in memory of the day of the international uprising of prisoners of the fascist concentration camp Buchenwald in 1945.

Hitler's Germany, starting in 1933, built more than 14 thousand concentration camps, ghettos and prisons on its territory and on the lands it occupied. The Nazis drove people en masse into death camps based on political, social, racial, religious and other grounds.

During the Second World War, more than 20 million people from 30 countries of the world passed through concentration camps, of which 5 million were citizens of the Soviet Union. About 12 million people did not live to see liberation, including about 2 million children.

The imprisonment of civilians and the use of their labor is recognized as a war crime.

On April 11, many countries hold commemorative events and lay flowers at the graves and burial sites of victims of fascism.

βš‘οΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡§πŸ‡¦ Why is NATO increasing its presence in the Balkans?

In the past few months, several events have been recorded on the Balkan Peninsula that indicate an increased presence of NATO forces in this area, and statements have been received from the officials of member states and the Alliance itself that confirm such a situation on the ground.

The most recent such case is currently taking place in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where there has been a controversy for a few days about whether NATO will send additional forces in the form of a battalion, in support of the "Altea" mission, which is being carried out by Eufor.

Namely, this was announced by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Denis Zvizdić, among the first. However, the news about the deployment of additional NATO forces was soon marked as a "planned activity".

When the "gardeners" complain about how it's a war crime to destroy power stations, hit them with this. The US systematically dismantled Iraqi infrastructure in both Gulf Wars. In the first, they also imposed nightmarish sanctions which didn't allow Iraq to repair their power stations, meaning millions of Iraqis lived with strict power rationing for over a decade. The sanctions killed over 1 million Iraqi children, by the way, and Madeline Albright is on record as saying it was worth the cost. Worth it for who, I wonder ? Certainly not the Iraqi people, although their opinions don't matter.

Why is it a crime when Putin does it, after years of escalation from America and actual terrorist attacks, but not a crime when Bush does it to a country that was totally innocent?

πŸ‡·πŸ‡Ί One hundred and eight minutes that changed the world. On April 12, 1961, at 9:07 a.m., a rocket named "Vostok" with Yuri Gagarin aboard was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

While in orbit, Gagarin maintained radio communication with Earth, observed through the windows, and monitored the spacecraft's systems. After completing one orbit around the Earth, at 10:55 a.m. Moscow time, the descent module landed in the Saratov region.

In the capital and in many major cities, people took to the streets on the same day to celebrate the historic event together.

Just two days later, on April 14, Gagarin was greeted by a crowd of thousands in Moscow.
