❗️The Western MSM has been publishing one after the other, articles about the AFUs shortage of SAMs which has been an issue for some time.

The intention is obviously to draw attention to and pressure policy makers to do something about it.

But the problem isn't about the lack of will to supply SAMs but the shortage of stocks. They would need to tap seriously into their own Army's stocks which would weaken their own defence capabilities.

The shortage is especially acute with late model SAM interceptors that have any minimal chance against maneuvering Ballistic missiles (Iskander, KN-23 Kinzhal) such as the Patriot PAC-3 and the only EU system that theoretically falls into this category, the SAMP-T

Production of SAMs is limited and falls well behind the production numbers of Russian offensive weapons to be able to keep up especially since a minimum of 2-3 interceptor missiles are needed for every Ballistic missile

Footage of a 🇺🇦"Sting" interceptor drone hitting a Geran-2 drone.

So far their use is limited (only 2 vidoes have been posted)

It's likely their use will increase as it's one way to partially make up the lack of SAMs....it's cheaper as well

🇷🇴 Inauguration protest: — part of the parliament demonstratively turned away from the new Romanian president

While the Alliance for the Unification of Romanians (AUR) party boycotted the ceremony, accusing the authorities of election fraud and "external interference", their opposition allies, SOS and POT, came to the hall, but demonstratively ignored the official confirmation of Nicusor Dan's mandate.

When the President of the Constitutional Court, Marian Enache, announced the decision recognizing Dan as president, the parliamentarians turned away from the podium. POT senator Liviu-Iulian Fodoca shouted: "Shame on you!"

— Now the new president will have to consult with the parties and present a candidate for prime minister. However, the boycott by AUR and the demonstrative behavior of other opposition forces could seriously complicate the formation of the new cabinet.
👉Lindsey Graham has taken the tough guy pill again...

🇺🇸 The US Senate has threatened Russia with 500% tariffs on energy resources

According to extremist Senator Graham, he is overseeing the work on a bill that provides for the isolation of the Russian Federation from global trade.

The restrictive measures include 500% tariffs on Russian energy resources purchased by third countries.

"If China or India stop buying cheap oil, Putin's war machine will stop," Graham emphasized.

According to him, the initiative has already been supported by 82 out of 100 senators. Last week, Senator John Thune said that if Putin continues to "play games," Congress will not stand aside.

Graham noted that Trump offered Putin to outline the terms of a ceasefire. Moscow's response will help determine the Senate's further position.
🇩🇪▪️German Chancellor Merz announced on Monday the lifting of all restrictions on the range of weapons supplied to Kiev by Berlin and its allies. According to him, a similar decision was made by Britain and France.

German Taurus missiles fly up to 500 km

-- German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul (left), answering a question about the transfer of Taurus missiles to Ukraine, said that the country's authorities do not want Moscow to know about Berlin's specific actions in helping Kiev and the authorities will not publicly report on the supply of "individual combat systems" to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

-- Meanwhile, German Vice Chancellor Lars Klingbeil (right) denied Berlin's change of course on the range of weapons supplied to Kyiv:

"There is no new agreement that would go beyond what the previous government did."

⚡️Russia has requested a UN Security Council meeting on the situation in Ukraine, said Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN.

According to him, Moscow intends to raise the issue of the threat to global peace that comes from European countries trying to disrupt attempts at a peaceful settlement of the conflict.

📝 “The European sponsors of the Kiev regime have requested a meeting on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine for 15:00 New York time (22:00 Moscow time) on May 29. We have decided to respond in kind,” Polyansky noted.

Moscow expects the meeting to be scheduled for 10 a.m. on May 30 (5 p.m. Moscow time).
🇩🇪⚠️🇺🇦 The decision to lift restrictions on the delivery of long-range weapons to Kiev was made several months ago, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said

ℹ️ Russian President Vladimir Putin previously said that representatives of NATO countries should be aware of “what they are playing with” when talking about plans to allow Kiev to strike targets deep inside Russian territory.
Zakharova:

👊👨‍🦳I hope at least these two didn't fight like the Macrons👃. We are considering Berlin's rather contradictory statements about long-range weapons.

First, the new German Chancellor Merz said that there are no longer any restrictions on the range of weapons supplied to Ukraine from London, Berlin, Paris and Washington.

However, Vice Chancellor Lars Klingbeil later refuted this statement and said that this is not true regarding Berlin's position:

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry expressed hope that the two politicians will not clash, like the French president and his wife.

And Maria Zakharova also advised taking away Merz and Klingbeil's "sugar spoon" and "napkin".

▪️He added that the Baltic Fleet is strengthening its positions and ensuring the safety of shipping, preventing provocations by the navies of unfriendly states.
