Since the development of long-range missile carriers in the USSR and until recently, it was believed that this class of aircraft was intended exclusively for global confrontation and deterrence within the framework of the Cold War. The Tu-95MS and Tu-160 underwent their baptism of fire in Syria, using cruise missiles with a non-nuclear warhead on terrorist bases. The most advanced of them is the X-101 rocket.

Development began in 1995, and it entered service with the Russian Air Force, according to available data, in 2013. The rocket is subsonic and is equipped with a dual-circuit jet engine R95TM-300, which is extended from the missile on a special pylon immediately after launch. Similarly, after the launch, the wings of the missile spread out.

Tu-160 aircraft carry up to 16 such missiles in internal containers in the fuselage, and Tu-95MS (after special modification) up to 8 missiles on an external suspension. It is reported that the X-101 is made using Stealth technology, as evidenced by the triangular section of its fuselage. The maximum range of the missile exceeds 5,500 km.

A terrorist attack took place in the Bryansk region near the border with Belarus: an improvised explosive device went off on the Novozybkov — Zlinka stretch. The railway track was damaged, there were no casualties.

🔻 Starobilsk direction (map (https://t.me/rybar/40559 )):

The units of the Ukrainian 71st Jaeger brigade, reinforced by two SOF companies, attempted to storm Russian positions near the villages of Pervomaiske (Pershotravnevoe), Orlyanka and Berestove. The AFU attacks were repulsed, the enemy retreated to their original positions under artillery fire.

At the Limansky section, the AFU tried to take the heights south of Makeyevka and approach Krasnopopovka again. Two companies of Ukrainian motorized infantry attacked the strongholds of the Russian Armed Forces, but came under concentrated artillery fire and retreated with losses.

In Belogorovka, the battalion of the 54th Mech Bgd of the AFU attempted an offensive. The Russian units conducted a counter attack and pushed the enemy back to their original positions.

The enemy command continues to transfer reserves to the front line to make up for losses. 20 infantry and 2 tanks arrived in the Serebryanka area.
