AI agents are already massively paying with stablecoins - almost all such transfers go to USDC through the x402 protocol.

According to Token Terminal, about 17,800,000 agent transactions took place in 30 days, the most in Base, Polygon and Solana.
DeFi project Term Labs was the victim of a governance attack, as a result of which it lost about $8.5 million.

Hacker hacked The Sandbox and printed 14.9b SAND (~$700m) – PeckShield

➤ The Sandbox confirmed the hack - the vulnerability affected the SAND cross-chain bridge. The bridges in Base and BNB Chain have already been disabled, and the tokens issued by the hacker have been isolated.

➤ SAND in Ethereum and Polygon were not affected, user funds in these networks are safe.

❗️The team urged not to buy, sell or trade SAND on Base and BNB Chain, as liquidity on these networks is compromised.

Someone “gifted” $2m to the scammers by copying an address from their transaction history.

The victim fell for an address poisoning scheme - the attacker sent a microtransaction in advance for 0.0002 USDC from a similar address in order to replace the desired one.

The affected wallet likely belongs to Bofur Capital.
Solana proposed changing tokenomics.

Validators began voting on three important initiatives at once:

⊹ SGP-0001: Adoption of the Solana Constitution and launch of the on-chain network management system.

Voting ends on August 27 at 18:30 Moscow time.
Two Major Bitcoin Holders See AI as a Driver for Bitcoin's Growth

The head of the Japanese Metaplanet, Simon Gerovich, and the founder of Strive, Matt Cole, independently stated that the development of artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming a structural factor in the growth of the value of Bitcoin as a scarce asset.

Gerovich believes the bullish view on Bitcoin has less to do with the charts and more to do with how AI is changing the economy: “AI is significantly reducing the cost of producing and copying software, content, analytics and other products.”

In this sense, the expert calls Bitcoin an asset “that cannot be copied.” In his opinion, the more AI reduces the cost of creating digital products, the more important the emission limit of 21 million coins becomes. In addition, Gerovich believes that AI agents in the future will prefer to store capital in digital assets rather than in traditional money.

Meanwhile, Cole cited the development of AI as a structural factor for Bitcoin's powerful bull cycle. He believes that in a world where intelligence becomes cheap and widely available, capital increasingly rewards assets that cannot be artificially reproduced:

“Scarce assets like Bitcoin, gold and silver will benefit significantly from this shift. This is a structural macroeconomic strength that Bitcoin didn’t have before.”

Metaplanet and Strive store 43 thousand and 20.2 thousand bitcoins for a total of almost $5 billion at an exchange rate of $77.5 thousand
Bitcoin grew by about 22% with almost no leverage acceleration; open interest in BTC, on the contrary, fell to a monthly minimum.

This rally looks more like spot buying than another overheated futures pump, according to Santiment.

Mining the anonymous coin Zcash is four times more profitable than Bitcoin and AI computing

The profitability of mining the largest cryptocurrency in the private sector, Zcash (ZEC), was 4.5 times higher than that of Bitcoin mining and income from the provision of computing power in the field of artificial intelligence. This was reported in The Energy Mag against the backdrop of the ZEC rate rising to a multi-year record of $890 per coin.

On the evening of August 23, the Zcash (ZEC) rate updated its record of about $890, which had been held since 2017, depending on the crypto exchange. The nearest local peak was in 2017 around $800. And in 2025, against the background of active growth of ZEC, the price tried to rise above $750. The historical peak price varies depending on the exchange, but exceeds several thousand dollars. On Bitfinex, for example, the peak is around $2.6 thousand per ZEC.

According to the publication, mining Zcash (ZEC) on Bitmain Antminer Z15 Pro devices brings in approximately $727
in income per megawatt-hour of electricity. This is approximately 3.3 times higher than the estimated industry average high-performance computing (HPC) yield of $222 per MWh.

In addition, the Z15 Pro generates approximately 4.5 times more revenue than $162 in revenue using Bitmain's latest generation Antminer S23 Pro Bitcoin miner. And more than seven times the $102 the S21 Pro gets.
The US Treasury Secretary can use almost $1T for government buybacks. bonds.

According to CNBC, the US Treasury is considering using funds from the Treasury General Account (TGA), which currently holds ~$950b.

➤ Funds can be used to finance increased repurchase of long-term government. bonds.

➤ This will give the Ministry of Finance additional opportunities to reduce long-term yields without the help of the Fed.

➤ It is not yet known exactly what amount will be used and whether a final decision will be made.

➤ Last week, the Ministry of Finance already doubled the minimum volume of bond repurchases from $2b to $4b, and Scott Bessent allowed even larger transactions.

This is a potentially positive factor for the crypto market - spending TGA funds increases liquidity in the financial system, and a decrease in government yields. bonds could increase demand for risky assets, including Bitcoin.
