Trump signed an executive order establishing a Bitcoin Reserve and a digital stockpile for the U.S. Treasury. The signed order will ensure the Treasury treats Bitcoin as a national reserve asset. According to the announcement, the digital stockpile will comprise other digital assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Cardano. The U.S. president directed the Department of Treasury to formulate the stockpile using forfeited digital assets from criminal or civil proceedings.
