🤔🎮 Did you know the famous fog in Silent Hill was never originally designed to scare players? 🌫

Back in 1999, when Silent Hill was released on the original PlayStation, the console had a big limitation: it couldn’t render long draw distances. Buildings and objects far away would simply disappear into nothingness.

👉 To “hide” this technical flaw, the developers came up with a creative solution: they covered the entire town in thick fog.

What happened next was a beautiful accident. That fog didn’t just hide PlayStation’s weaknesses — it became the game’s strongest feature. Suddenly, every street looked endless, every shadow felt alive, and players never knew what might emerge from the mist. 👀😱

Today, Silent Hill’s fog is remembered as one of the most iconic horror atmospheres in gaming history. A simple hardware limitation turned into pure psychological terror.

🤔🎮 Did you know the very first video game in history wasn’t Pong?

Most people think gaming began with Atari’s Pong in 1972, but the truth goes even further back… all the way to 1958! ⚡️

👉 A physicist named William Higinbotham created a game called “Tennis for Two”.
It was played on an oscilloscope screen (a lab device with a tiny green display). The game showed two players hitting a glowing dot — like a tennis ball — back and forth across a line. 🎾🖥

What’s crazy is that Higinbotham never meant to start the gaming industry. He only made it to entertain visitors at his science lab. Yet, this tiny experiment became the seed for the entire gaming world we know today. 🌍✨
