On a related note: I do have the brush for cleaning the Chemex, but I find that I virtually never need to use it. It is nice to have, but probably not really necessary (especially if you don't have the extra kitchen space for a monotasker).

If you prefer cold brew (also a good option), then I highly recommend these carafes. I have had about ten of them for years (apparently nearly ten years) and I have never had a problem with them (and the steel filters are still in great shape).

I have no opinion on any of their newer service glassware options. I have some of the original mugs that were part of their Kickstarter back in 2017, which are nice, but seemingly discontinued.

Telegram bonus for this post: Do yourself a favor and grab a kettle and a Chemex. (And don't forget to grab filters, or just go with a starter kit.) It takes only minimally more effort than a drip coffee machine, but produces significantly better coffee.
If you have never used a Chemex or similar, it is worth watching some videos to get familiar with the process (it is simple, but there are still some things you should know). Two things in particular:

1. Rinse the filter before using it (to avoid transferring any flavor from the paper).
2. Let the coffee bloom before you pour all the water through the grounds.

Bonus points: The Chemex was developed by a German Lutheran chemist, and (at least originally) produced by Corning.

Yes, the same Corning that producers the glass for your iPhone.

It probably says something about a religious group when you can pick four well-known men from it and Wernher von Braun is the least intelligent of them.

The American economy is not real and no Christian can support it in its current form.

The pope is not a Christian.

What do we call those who follow anti-Christian teachers?

God to Joseph: ‘Take Mary as your wife.’

Joseph: ‘Okay.’

*many years pass*

Papists: ‘God could have meant anything by that!’

I do not harbor in my heart a hatred for mankind sufficient to engender a love of democracy.

Despite himself, Frank Herbert was right, but he was wrong on the scale.

Using a person’s ‘pronouns’ is worship of a false god.

A Christian may not participate and remain a Christian.

Leaders and other great men in the kingdom of the left hand of Christ (i.e., the State) are rightly remembered on the day of their birth; leaders, martyrs, et al., in the kingdom of the right hand of Christ (i.e., the Church) are rightly remembered on the day of their death.

Adolf Hitler, as both a political leader and a martyr, is rightly remembered both on the 20th of April (his birth) and the 30th of April (his death). As leader of Germany, he served both his people and all of Europe faithfully and died in the defense of his homeland. As a Christian, he spent his life fighting against the evils of the Jews, Marxism, and Bolshevism, and died a martyr’s death.

The lies of the enemies of God and all men should have no purchase among Christians, and so the name of Adolf Hitler should be remembered with admiration, and not scorn. Few men have done more for their nations or for Christendom. One day — soon — the world will see this.
