A dog has made it into Guinness World Records for its massive ears!
Coonhounds are well-known for their large long ears, but one cute dog from Oregon named Lou has recently earned the title of “the longest ears of a dog still alive”! The 3-year-old Coonhound has incredible ears, measuring 34cm each! Lou has also won many awards at US dog competitions before, but the Guinness World Record is truly the crowning jewel.
Lou’s owner, a veterinarian Paige Olsen, has said that he likes to have his ears touched, even by strangers. And why wouldn’t you – just look at how adorable they are!

How well can puppies see?
It is common knowledge that puppies are born with their eyes closed. However, their eyesight starts off poor as well once they open their eyes, being at around 20/75 (normal human eyesight being 20/20). It normalizes once puppies reach 4-5 weeks.

How to earn Coins!
CoinDogs has an in-game currency that can be spent on plenty of things, but what about earning it? Sure, you can always spend real money to buy Coins, just like in any online game, but there are also several ways to earn them in-game!
First of all, races. Up to 4 of your dogs can participate in a race at the time. The results depend on a variety of factors, such as the current day favoring certain breeds as well as individual dog stats. The winnings are distributed between the top 3 winners.
Second way of earning Coins is by playing minigames. Each successful round or high score is rewarded with Coins, but you have to wait between tries. In addition to Coins, playing games improves the mood of your puppies!
Finally, you can rent or sell your CoinDogs. For sales, the earnings depend on dog stats, breed purity and gen. For renting, how much you get also depends on how long you are willing to rent them.

Hachiko, the hero of love
We’ve all heard the incredibly touching story of Hachiko. An Akita Inu loyal to its owner long after his untimely demise is one of the most inspiring examples of how heroic our pets can be. What you might not know, however, is that Hachiko was one of only a few dozen purebred Akitas at the time. Its story helped bring this breed back from the grave since lots of people wanted to get a ferociously loyal Akita of their own. Can you guess how many there are nowadays?

Pekingese - an attack dog?
Pekingese may look small and innocent, but don’t be fooled by their appearance. Ancient Chinese emperors and courtiers carried them in their sleeves (hence the nickname “sleeves”) and let them loose on any attackers! It was super effective!

Why dogs don’t like rain?
Rain makes dogs uncomfortable and even scared for several reasons. First is the sound of raindrops which is irritating to dogs’ ears, not to mention thunder. Second is their sensitivity to barometric pressure which makes them feel down during bad weather.

How moon phases affect your dogs!
One of the not-so-obvious mechanics in CoinDogs is moon phases. When you enter the Dashboard you can see relevant news in the tab on the right. One of them is always about the current moon phase, corresponding to the real-world moon cycle.
There are a few things that are affected by moon phases. It randomly increases or reduces the stats of certain dog breeds: their effectiveness at races as well as the purity, vitality, and traits of newborn pups. During a full moon, there’s also a slim chance of a puppy being born as a Werewolf, always 100% purebred. So keep your eye out for the moon phases - sometimes that small bonus is the difference between winning or losing a race!

How to participate in races!
Races are one of the most lucrative ways to earn Coins in-game if you play your cards right. Here’s how your puppies can participate in them!
Press the “Race” button, which will take you to the dog selection screen. Here you can choose which dogs to race with and how many copies of them can enter. You can let multiple copies of the same puppy participate at once. There are 7 dogs in each race, and a player can let up to 4 of his or her dogs join (including copies). The price for entry is 100 Coins for each dog.
Once you’ve selected dogs that will join the race, press “Yes! Let’s do it!”. You can choose to pay for entry with Coins or real money. You won’t join the race immediately, since there’s a queue and a waiting period between races, so feel free to do something in the meantime. The races are held without player control and results are based on dog stats.. https://www.instagram.com/coindogs/

How to sell or rent your puppy!
Need some Coins quickly? No need to reach for your wallet - there’s a handy in-game solution - renting or selling your puppies!
Let’s start with selling. Select a puppy that you wish to sell and click the “sell/rent” button. Next, choose the “sell” menu. Check the “Enable” box, which would let you change default settings: starting/ending price and duration. You don’t directly sell or rent puppies, but rather put them on the auction. Once you’ve set the conditions, click the “save” button to finalize the deal! Rent works in a similar way, but it’s done with the “rent out” menu.
Be sure to carefully choose the price - check the Market for averages. You don’t want to give your puppies away for cheap, right? And one more thing - a puppy gets sad if it doesn’t see its owner for too long, so keep it in mind!
