Dogs are smarter than you think!
Dogs may have smaller brains than humans but it doesn’t mean they are not smart! They can memorize about 250 words or non-verbal commands and even do basic arithmetics. On top of that, they are naturally socially savvy that can read us easily!

A dog has made it into Guinness World Records for its massive ears!
Coonhounds are well-known for their large long ears, but one cute dog from Oregon named Lou has recently earned the title of “the longest ears of a dog still alive”! The 3-year-old Coonhound has incredible ears, measuring 34cm each! Lou has also won many awards at US dog competitions before, but the Guinness World Record is truly the crowning jewel.
Lou’s owner, a veterinarian Paige Olsen, has said that he likes to have his ears touched, even by strangers. And why wouldn’t you – just look at how adorable they are!

Hachiko, the hero of love

We’ve all heard the incredibly touching story of Hachiko. An Akita Inu loyal to its owner long after his untimely demise is one of the most inspiring examples of how heroic our pets can be. What you might not know, however, is that Hachiko was one of only a few dozen purebred Akitas at the time. Its story helped bring this breed back from the grave since lots of people wanted to get a ferociously loyal Akita of their own. Can you guess how many there are nowadays?

Why do dogs’ paws smell like Fritos?

Dogs walk on lots of surfaces daily and pick up bacteria on their paws. Two types of bacteria, Pseudomonas and Proteus, when mixed with sweat and saliva from grooming cause that peculiar Fritos smell. So wash your dogs’ paws well every day!

Pekingese - an attack dog?

Pekingese may look small and innocent, but don’t be fooled by their appearance. Ancient Chinese emperors and courtiers carried them in their sleeves (hence the nickname “sleeves”) and let them loose on any attackers! It was super effective!
