The Old Spotted Dog Ground pitch is surprisingly dry today - despite the storms over the last few days.

Unless the weather forecast is drastically wrong, Saturday's Men's First Team game against Brimsdown is very likely to be ON. 😍

Fans from the Scaffold are putting on a coach to tomorrow's away game against Dunmow Town in Heybridge. The coach will be leaving East London at 6pm promptly and should get back around 11pm. Our opponents tonight have informed us they can't field a team and are forfeiting the league game at the Old Spotted Dog Ground.

We have spent a couple of hours trying to find a new opponents or move our Reserves game but we have been unable to sort it at such late notice. 😪😪

A forfeit like this has never happened before with either our Women’s or Men’s First Teams so it is hugely rare though obviously out of our control.

That obviously also means our Dogs Day is off too.

Do you have a stack of OSD cups at home?

Huge crowds at the dog this weekend means we've had a load of cups bought from the bar - which is great!!

Unfortunately, our cup supplier has significantly increased their lead time on printing - which is not great!!!

If everyone could bring a cup or five back on Saturday, it would massively help the demand on the bar for the last couple of matches. Refunds will be given for the cups too, of course!

Happy International Workers' Day!

Join us before the play-off final tomorrow (Saturday) at the Old Spotted Dog Ground as we mark the 90th anniversary of the Spanish Civil War.

We'll be holding a rededication of the Newham International Brigades Memorial including speeches from the IBMT. It's also a chance to celebrate International Workers' Day, 100 years on from the General Strike.

Volunteer needed to help ref an eight-a-side charity tournament at the Old Spotted Dog Ground tomorrow (1pm to 4.30pm).

You don't need to be qualified or experienced in any way.

Our end of season awards ceremony for all our adult teams will take place on Saturday (May 23) at the Old Spotted Dog Ground Clubhouse.

Doors and bar will open at 2pm for a 2.30pm start and it should last a couple of hours.

All members, supporters, players, friends and family are welcome to pay homage to players and coaches who have created another incredible season.

We'll find out who has won the supporters' players of the season and young players of the season for both our Women's First Team and Men's First Team now the votes have been cast.

But that's not all - in total we will be handing out 67 awards plus medals to players 50, 100 and 150 appearances - and a few extra honours.

* At a tournament at the Old Spotted Dog Ground last week, players from DOST based at Newham Leisure Centre had to borrow and share boots as they didn't have any. Does anyone have any spare boots? Please bring to the awards if you can help.

The CCFC merch store is closing tonight (Tuesday) for a few weeks due to summer holidays.

The deadline to order is 8pm - your order will then be picked, packed and sent out tomorrow.
