Clapton CFC Men’s First Team have been allocated in the same division, the Southern Counties East Football League Division One, for next season.

Today the FA have announced which team will play where in the pyramid for the 2025/26 season and have opted to keep Clapton CFC in the SCEFL – now the only team north of the river in a 19 team division.

The Men’s First Team committee have indicated they will appeal once again.

It's time to choose your players of the season and young players of the season for both our Women's First Team and Men's First Team.

There's a quick turnaround for this vote - it will close on Saturday, May 24 at midnight.

That's so we can get the trophies ordered and delivered in time for the awards ceremony. The ceremony will take place on Sunday, June 1 at the Old Spotted Dog Ground Clubhouse, with doors opening at 1pm for a prompt 2pm start.

The vote is open to current Clapton CFC members only.

You will need to give your membership number, which you can find on your membership card or by checking out our membership site -https://claptoncfc.getcommunal.com/login
If you can't find your membership, you can leave it blank, but we will double check you're a member to avoid attempted result fixing :)

'Pick-up at a home game' is now an option for buying the new trans solidarity shirt if you want to save on the postage prices.

You can change the shipping option to 'pick-up' right at the end of the buying process. The price will then be adjusted.

Note: We don't have a home game until some friendlies in late July so it's possible, but not guaranteed, you will get yours quicker if you opt for postage.

In case you missed it... Clapton CFC will not face any FA charges over the abandoned London & South East Regional Women’s Trophy final against Dulwich Hamlet Reserves.

The Women’s First Team game at Maidstone United on Sunday, May 25 was called off after around 20 minutes due to the presence of a Palestine flag among the Clapton support and an anti-genocide banner among the Dulwich support.

In a statement posted on May 30, Maidstone claimed the decision was made – in consultation with league and match officials – because the flag and banner created a ‘perceived risk to safety’.

The London FA began an investigation on Tuesday, May 27, as is standard for any abandoned game, asking for witness statements, video footage and photographs.

On June 11, the London FA informed us there was no case to answer and that the flags present did not constitute a risk to safety but were there to ‘show support and solidarity’.

Dulwich Hamlet will also face no charges.

The decision, while of course a relief, clearly does not make up for the fact that our players and hundreds of supporters – and those of Dulwich too – had our big day ruined.

We will be seeking further clarification with appropriate bodies on the prospect of a replay and refunds, plus training for and apologies from those individuals involved.
Update: We’ve been informed that Tiffany has made contact and is safe. Thank you to everyone who shared
