He had Won Uefa Europa league, Portuguese super Cup, Portuguese Cup, and The Portuguese league with more than 20points ahead of the second Placed Benefica. His name, Andre Villas Boas the coach of Porto. His success led him to the hottest seat on earth at Chelsea. The year was 2012. Previously he had been touted as the best upcoming manager after The Chelsea god himself Mourinho... but Chelsea, it's fans and it's Owner were different beasts.
After a string of poor performances, Chelsea visited Napoli for the UEFA 2012 champions league. A do or die for the manager. Chelsea lost 1-3 and that evening Roman pulled the trigger and the Andre was gone. In his position a relatively green horn Roberto Di Mateo was elevated albeit on initial caretaker Basis.
Return leg where away goals virtually mattered was at the Bridge. Drogba and Terry Scored. ..2-0. with this scoreline, Chelsea qualifies through away goals. In the 55th Min however Gokhan Inler silences the bridge with a goal. We score to level or we out. 75th minute Napoli handles in the box, Lampard with the whole pressure steps in and convert. Its level. 3-3 aggregate. Napoli score a goal from here and things get complicated as we will need two more to progress.. So we hold on. Then.... On 105th minute Ivanovich puts in a shot. It ends 4-1. Chelsea are through to the quarter finals. That year we ended up winning our first Champions league cup. It was a story of belief, sweat, death and resurrection.
Facing the same situation today, you can argues Di Mateo was fairly inexperienced compared to Potter. But the results was more down to the players. The mentality, the attitude, the desire
Today , it's the turn for the current players to curve their legendary stories that will live through Chelsea folklore.
Success and failure is in the head, the heart and the Legs.

Graham Potter is still under pressure at #Chelsea. One win over Leeds is not enough to ease the tension, especially if he follows that with an early Champions League exit.

Chelsea have won seven of their last nine UCL home games. They are looking to win three consecutive round of 16 home games in the Champions League for the first time since 2006/07 to 2008/09.

#HalfTime
That was some halfπ. It has had it's problems .. but probably the best half have seen of Potter era. We've become lazy and casual after the goal though so we may need to check on that. Havertz should be credited for holding the ball brilliantly for that goal. Almost everyone has been brilliant in the first half. Kouly, Cucu and FoF look like they have played together for a while, the front three so industrious, Enzo and Kovacic marshalled the mid brilliantly, sterling has been a work horse, James and Chilwel briliant in the wingbacks... Basically everyone has been fantastic. I hope we close down Dortmund better though in our final third and restrict their half movements

Our spacing feels a lot more natural in an on-ball 3-4-3. Easier passing angles and players closer. Will improve when/if Koulibaly manages to establish a clearer link to Enzo too.
We're pressing in a 4-4-2 and that helps hide Felix as well. A good showing by Potter so far.
Potter ran one specific "outline" very frequently at Brighton:
3 CBs in the first line, a midfielder flanked by 2 WBs in build up, the second central midfielder forming a "diamond" with 3 attackers.
Saw signs of that today for the first time in Potter's time at Chelsea.

Mudryk is a better dribbler and better in linking up play than sterling. I have my doubts on his role as a support striker, but we can never rule him out completely unless he is afforded the minutes... The game is too open... He should be tried later... But we should never change the shape
