To majority of Chelsea fans. This is a sad evening today 😂 inspite of the win. Reasons we all know. But for todays game, here is the pick
• There is no question. the players fought for the manager. This can never be about sabotage. He is a mr nice guy and it seems like the players love him. This tells you a lot about their belief in either his personality or coaching prowess. They are yet to give up on him. For majority of the fans, 😅 this is super confusing.
• Most parts of the first half we played a little bit better.. but questions will be raised on the second half display where whe we were hurried along like a small team. While its understandable the substitutions were to bring stability and try to ensure a win, its still shocking on how low we have stooped for such approaches especially against a small team like Leeds. At times in the game, you could feel that we were heavily riding on luck.
• Potter can build on this though lots of work needs to put in especially on the tactical side of the game. How we control games and how we manage opponents press and pressure. Defensively, we were almost solid. What needs serious work is still the attacking patterns. Apart from individual brilliance and movements upfront, we are zero as a team. On Havertz I think I have said enough and its now down to potter to decide whether his coaching head will be fried in oil or just to be boiled.
• Potter might have saved his ass for now. But pressure at chelsea is never far away. While I feel he may get away with Champions league elimination, Loss against fellow struggling friends Leicester and Everton could still get his head back between the hammer and the gravel. With how we currently play, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Wolves and Brighton next are almost unwinnable... it will take Todd real Potter witchcraft to believe if we crumble against the two.
