๐Ÿšจ Chelsea FC co-owner Behdad Eghbali and director of global transfers Paul Winstanley literally flew into Antalya today, did the deal, and then took Mudryk back with them on their private jet. No messing. Medical is tomorrow.

Crystal Palace to launch new transfer bid for Chelseaโ€™s Conor Gallagher.

Gallagher is still committed to making it at his boyhood club and that may be the biggest obstacle to progress for Palace.

To answer some questions on how Chelsea are able to spend so much.

1. Roman made Boehly x Clearlake sign a contract to spend ยฃ1.5 billion on the squad. This, also includes an agreement that dividends cannot be taken from the club for 10 YEARS.

2. On spending, simply put amortization. By signing u21 players on 7yr deals, Chelsea are able to spread the cost. Eg, "IF" they sign Mudryk, according to FFP, only 40 million will appear on this years books. Whilst the balance is played over 7 years.

3. For Chelsea fans saying how can we spend 100 on Mudryk but not Enzo. Paying a transfer fee, eg 100m for Mudryk, is different from a release clause. transfer fee means spread costs(less than 10m a year x7). A clause is paid at once, meaning 120m on the books.

That would put Chelsea on the wrong side of FFP, meaning we get charged, a transfer ban or even a UCL ban.

IMO, Benfica demanding 120m for a player who they signed for 12m 5 months ago is absurd. They have no guarantee clubs will come with a similar offer in the summer.

Or if he will still have the same hype as post WC

They chose to embarrass Chelsea in the media rather than negotiate. Benfica never wanted to sell so saying pay the RC is a way of fending off clubs, it worked.

Chelsea have found a workaround to FFP, whilst onlookers complain

14 - Mykhailo Mudryk has been directly involved in 14 goals in just 12 appearances in the Ukrainian Premier League this season (7 goals, 7 assists), the most of any player, contributing to a goal every 65 minutes on average. Prized.

Keeping an close eye on Lewis Hall today, this is the sort of opportunity that will hugely benefit him.

Up against one of the best 1v1 wingers in the league and he's constantly getting isolated. He'll get beaten a bunch of times but he needs a game like this for his growth.

Besides the missed chance, Hall has been pretty good. Has done as well as you could possibly expect from an 18 year old playing out of position.

Olise attempted 3 direct 1v1 dribbles against Hall in the first half according to Opta, completed 0. That's good stuff from Hall.

Those 45 minutes were a step in the right development direction.

We created some good direct chances and indirect opportunities. Defense was okay for the most part. Our younger players - Badiashile, Chuk, Gallagher, Hall - have all stepped up and shown flashes.

This is what a "process" looks like. You play young players and accept both the good and bad things.

Chuk looked quiet for the first 20-30 minutes before coming alive, Hall missed a chance but has been good, Gallagher and Badiashile have been excellent, you accept all that.

Amidst all the drama, Chelsea have quietly had a great couple of games offensively. Our stats from our last 2 games:

35 shots
27 shots inside the box
8 big chances created
7 big chances missed

This is despite having half our squad injured too. Steps in the right direction.

How Mudryk signing affects chelsea

If you look at the players chelsea have been linked to this season, they all have something in common. Character defined with positive Attitude and serious Mental Strength. These are player who single handedly try or tried to fight and force games in their teams. Mudryk stats alone should confirm to you what he is bound to become.

What will he bring at chelsea?

As a player, he is explosive, with fast direct play and ability to brake and change direction in between opposing defenders at accelerated pace without loosing possession.

He is bold in his dribbles and takeons and able to shoot with both his left and right. He can play and influence games from right, left or centre of the Pitch.

Before Joao was signed, chelsea had a problem with unlocking teams defensive shapes. with These two however, This could be a thing of the past.

Chelsea players have also struggled with transitioning play from midfield to defence. This is an area which Mudryk and Joao are going to change chelsea .

Despite his stats of 7 goals and 7 assists in 12 games, Mudryk still sometimes struggles with decision on whether to finish or pass. However, at 22, this should be polished by the time he is clocking his 8 years contract.

With Joao and Mudryk intelligent runs we can expect certain change of fortunes for Aubeyang, Havertz and Datro. In a bid to stop them, opponents tend to double mark such players and these ends up breaking defensive shapes and leaving spaces for other team players to exploit. Players Like Havertz, Aubemayang and Datro should be salivating at the prospect of increased opportunities in the box.

Having such fast players with good dribbling techniques also allows a team to attack and defend well without committing plenty of personell upfront. Against big teams, This is a catalyst for results.

Having Joao, Mudryk, Nkunku and James in one team will be like going to a gun battle with missiles. It will be tears everywhere for opponents and an exciting prospect for chelsea fans.

For Havertz specilfically, this could be his ressurection.

Auba Fortune

Aubemayang is a reknown finisher. There is no question about that and there has never been any question about that. His attitude is questionable at times.

Playing in half wing or as a full striker, there is no question that Aub is a better finisher that Havertz. His movement, link up play, positioning, shooting and finishing is as good as any striker you'd find. His speed not badly lost for a man his age.

Just like the rest of chelsea attacking players, Auba fortunes infront of goal has greatly dwindled. His chance in first team coming in sketches of here and there. And as we expect all their fortunes to change with new signings, traits that define Aubas play could provide immediate impact for goals than Havertz.

At Barcelona, He scored 14 goals and assists in 24 matches. He thrived having Dembele, Traore and Depay flanking hin with pace and technique that would unlock, split and break opponents for him to finish. Plenty of times it was chance and bang. This was down to his Mercurial positioning and ability to find right spaces in the box. His movements behind strikers and his anticipation is also a little better than Havertz.

Aub can enjoy the same service and produce same output with the signing of Mudryk and Joao. His speed and techniques could easily enhace cohesion and fluidity upfront better. .

Barring Barca transfer rumour and biased selection from the coach, Aubamayang could just be the guy for immediate impact with the goals rather than Havertz who is still trying to find his shooting boots.

And this is unemotional, unbiased and with nothing personal against the young man. I still feel he will be our star for the future. If he can work on his Physycological side of the game
