I like this line up. For sure. It does not matter whether we loose or win. People should be played based on perfomances not past glories or price tags. Potter gave priority to midfield compactness. Hoping to see Pulisic in later to help unlocking defences if it holds to later hours of the game

It's easy to be negative. But considering how we have been playing and how Newcastle has been dismantling teams for fun, we are better. Now we just need to gain confidence to hold balls under pressing pressure. Confidence to turn and move with the ball. Especially Kova. This is how we can hurt them and find a meaningful way to their final 3rd.. ..And above all avoid stupid substitutions

The only sacking Todd Boehly should be thinking about is himself as interim sporting director. I get why he did it and what the new ownership were up against but this break is the time to hand over to the new recruitment team, support Potter and let them plan the next two windows

๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ Lewis Hall created more chances (1), attempted more crosses (3) and suffered more fouls (3) than any other Chelsea player against Newcastle United. In fact Hall was the only Chelsea player to create a single chance.
Nobody else wants to play. #CFC #NEWCHE #Chelsea
The only positive.

Man Of God??
Sometimes, when a crazy bishop comes to your home and tells you to step outside so that he can pray to your wife, then in a short while you hear moans and later he walks out with dripping fingers and you say "amen man of God" it's at this stage that you MUST understand you are crazily and emotionally brainwashed and you cannot make a sound judgement.
When a Chelsea fan tells you that "when did we start playing like Newcastle" you just know this is an emotional bastard who'd have asked the same question in 2011/2012 when football dynamics of Manchester city was changing. In his head, Newcastle is just Newcastle disregarding the recent dynamics. They are the same guys who keep reminding us about Tuchel sacking forgetting that some of us were so pissed off with his sacking than even them but have moved on the same way we will move on from Potter if it happens. But no.. baby emotions keeps getting better of them.
For those who follow my posts closely, they'd agree when Potter makes a mistake I always bash him mercilessly. But being emotionally stable is having the ability to give a devil it's dues.
Tactical choice for Potter today was spot-on. Asking why we should not have started wingers is just dumb emotions. With how Newcastle press these days, that would have been catastrophic. Common sense was containment first then introducing attack minded midfielders and wingers in the second half when their pressing energy levels have dropped. And that's exactly what happened. Otherwise we'd be all lamenting here after picking good four goals from the net in the first half.
People tend to forget that Potter has not had a pre season. And funny they tell you that even Brighton plays with wingers. Forgetting that it's him who introduced that at Brighton and therefore knows better when and when not to deploy that approach.
The goal we conceded was not from a tactical error but Poor positioning from Hall and poor awareness and anticipation from Koulibaly
Tactical and technical training is a process. And the second half proved that to everyone. Tactical and technical plus fighting spirit came to light and so sure everyone loved what they saw in the closing stages.
Going forward the only way we can judge Potter is whether we can have the same consistency and whether we can have tactical and technical growth. When the day comes to call for his neck I will lead the lynching mob. But now common sense dictates that I do just that. Common sense.
