Too early 😂

Edson Alvarez on failed Chelsea move:

"As a player you're aware that this would change everything. A better league, a better life for you and your family. This is what it's all about for me. I'm here for my love for football but also for my family."

"I am very disappointed about it. But I am convinced that one day another big club will come for me. This winter, or in the summer. For now I can only focus on Ajax."

Here's your starting XI

ℹ️ @ChelseaAnalysis

Looks like Sterling and Pulisic as wide Wingbacks again

A nice 19th birthday present for Omari! 🎉

@ChelseaAnalysis

Thiago Silva 😤

2 goal line clearances in successive minutes

#INGAMEAnalysis

I even won't fully blame Thiago there..our midfielders can't contain the ball in the early minutes leading to Brighton's transitions

Am not saying anything on how we choose to approach games from the start. People will call me toooo negative

Our pressing is so weak ,Brighton are finding good runs behind our high line

.

#INGAMEAnalysis

There's no way Sterling is still in the match

Can't even blame the players anymore because Estupinan and March are easily finding spaces in behind ..

Wrong approach from the start !

ℹ️ @ChelseaAnalysis

The run continues...

ℹ️ @ChelseaAnalysis

#INGAMEAnalysis

Chelsea switched to a 4-3-3 with Ruben and Cucurella as RB and LB respectively

Pulisic is playing his favoured LW

ℹ️ @ChelseaAnalysis

And magically..we are playing well and more balanced

ℹ️ @ChelseaAnalysis

We are 2 -0 down and we are still passing sideways..

Typical Chelsea

Fulltime Brighton 4 - 1 Chelsea.

Kovacic and Silva gave up at the end

A 9 game unbeaten run comes to an end

Clearly lost it in the first half

ℹ️ @ChelseaAnalysis

Chalobah not losing when he starts streak comes to an end

We should've have known we can't go into a season without a competitive backup for James Kante and Kovacic 🙁 you just can't rely on them

Thank God Thiago Silva isn't Injury prone nowadays...
Hope it's the first thing done this January
