In the build up, Chelsea's back 3 occupied the back with Kepa forming a back 4 in build up as the extra man to evade pressure and it worked most times it gives Chelsea that extra man in the build up.

Chelsea built up in a 3-3-3-1 shape. 3 CBs at the back, Jorginho as the lone pivot, Gallagher and Kova advanced of him so they are passing options, Havertz then dropped just in front of them, forming a Diamond Midfield, we saw this midfield against Brentford Gallagher went off
Kovacic at times dropped along side Jorginho to form a kind of 3223 formation to create space for Havertz and Gallagher part of the 2 in front to assist with the build up

Chelsea ended up scoring the harder chances and missing the easier ones, a very "Chelsea thing "to do. Potter's team displayed consistent methods of chance creation in this game that leaves us hopeful of what is to come, although lots of improvement is still needed. Its progress
