We can say the only reason the coach fielded Havertz against Brentford was the need for rotation. But moving forward it will be hard for him to justify why the man should be fielded at the expense of Pulisic if performance and Rest is all he cares for.
At a time where we are only 7 points to the top and title still possible, there is simply no time for Golden Gooses that lays Wooden eggs.
Until the guy works on his other side of the game, he is as good as everyone else for his place on the bench
And that is the bottom line

Ever since Eden Hazard left , the odds are always against us vs United, hope we change that tomorrow π

CFC looked to continue their winning streak against BFC who seem to now be the recent "Can you do it on a night in Brentford?" with the way they play, although with modern principles, has elements of Stoke about them with the long throws, Setpiece play, and aggressive nature

Chelsea initially lined up in an interesting 3-1-4-1-1 formation(Hard to keep up with Potter these days ) with a Diamond midfield. Jorginho at the base Havertz at the top, Mount and Gallagher at either side, with Cucurella and RLC providing the width to match Brentford's 352
Brentford used long balls in behind Chelsea's backline to trouble them and used the wide channels as Villa did. They used runs from the midfielders in the wide areas to make underlapping runs into the channels for the wingbacks,

These attacking patterns are becoming more prevalent, and despite Brentford's block for most of the game when we attacked, we were able to create big situations, the reason some didn't materialize into big chances was cause of poor decision-making and precision in the final pass.
It is something that can definitely improve with time. It was a 0-0 and not without Brentford causing us a host of problems which we already touched on, but the fact that we are already trying those particular patterns regularly means we are progressing and will improve.

Mount in an inside right role of the 3-4-3 is the way to go vs Man Utd. Lisandroβs aggressive tendencies will see him try to close that space behind Fred/Eriksen who will find it difficult to pick up Mount. Quick build-up to then expose the gap created behind Lisandro.
Not many better in the league than Mount at that. His pressing intelligence is also top.Shut down that Lisandro-Eriksen buildup like he did to Bennacer.

A few thoughts:
United have blistering pace up front. Rashford and Antony are rapid. We donβt have the pace on the wings or in the middle to deal with them getting in behind. We simply cannot allow their midfielders the time or space to play their attackers through.
Man United struggle to create anything when Eriksen or Bruno are shut down all game. I think Potter knows this, so I expect to see a three man midfield, whether that means 4atb or 3-5-2. I think itβs also likely with the form Kepaβs in that he comes out moving like Prime Neuer, coming wayyy out of the box to clear through balls.
These are really the key things we need to focus on to stop United from creating chances. If we can do this, I think we come away with three points, Iβm confident in our ability to score. Havertz has to be benched for Pulisic or Sterling, we cannot afford passengers on the pitch.
Potter does have a habit of embarrassing United so Iβm more confident than I usually would be. We havenβt lost at home yet this season either, hopefully it stays that way. Hopefully the Bridge is loud tomorrow, too, the boys will need it.
Also Michael Oliver please let's have one clean game.

John Obi Mikel: "We always had a meeting with Roman. Once the team was not doing well, he came in and had a chat with us. Then he sits down, he has this guy, his friend, who sits with him β heβs the interpreter. And then he starts shouting and screaming in Russian!"
