Otherwise it's been a good half ,we are handling Brentford relentless press by using Long balls . We just have to win the 2nd balls ,create a movement pattern before Brentford get back in shape to create chances.

Broja's pace and stubbornness is actually great , should continue like that and the goal will eventually come

Brentford Vs Chelsea Report

After the gruesome tough night at brentford, with maintaining the unbeaten run one of the positives in a match where Brentford looked threatening on every break and yet limited chelsea chances with a deep and numbered defensive blocks.

What was learnt?

• The Team still cannot take accurate long range shots. These used to save potter a hell lot of time at brighton. All our attempted shots were meant for the stars and the moon.

• Despite the number of attempts to get to their backline, we were Missing the Sheer force of Reece to force and threaten these areas. Our worries on his equal backup certainly coming to pass. Missing his bruteness, brilliance and talent to get to this areas affects our attacking dimension greatly.

• Broja agility, directness, injection of pace and power, aggression and strength reminds of Diego. But it his decision making and his choice of space that he needs to work on. Work on how to maneuver towards dangerous areas near goal area rather than taking easy option to turn out. Needs to also know when to pass and when to hold the ball. Lots of potential though.

• Pulisic still has something in him for the team with his dribbles to open spaces and his mezzy runs. Jury is still out on Chukuemeka, No more Havertz stories. In such matches where teams defend in deep block lines of two, you need a fast direct dribbler to get things going. For now we hope Pulisic will be coming in a bit early in such games.

• We still need that maverick playmaker. You could see we tried seeking for that one pass. Sterling, Mount, jorginho, Kovacic all tried.. but the artistry in that pass still insufficient. Perharps an area we should seek to strengthen in the coming window

• The will to win and the desire to fight in this team is unquestionable. We attacked well in the last quarter of the game while still ensuring counter attack control.. but we need to be initiating game control early on rather than late in the games

• Few months ago, before Potter era, you'd kill yourself imagining that RLC, Chaloba, Gallagher, Chukuema, Broja, would be starters and pillars in a quadruple chasing chelsea side. Its a point gained rather than points lost.
