When playing against a high pressing team, you need to have a strong mind and players who maintain possession and not allow themselves being hurried along. Chelsea and leeds are two high pressing teams But leeds have been better with ball retention. We need to move balls to half spaces to beat the press. Poor playing from Havertz, Loftus and Cucurella

Todays game, it's easy to point fingers at an individual player or individual players mistakes. But the team as a whole went MIA. From the coaching staff to the players.

Tactically, Instead of systematic Preassuring, we were triggering presses all over. Useless runs in the name of pressing is what we were doing in the first half. Worse, when we were being pressed ourselves, we couldn't compose ourselves and find the half spaces to dribble to and beat pressure. And since everyone was running all over the pitch like headless chicken, we couldn't find an overload player to relieve a player getting out of a pressed zone.

The players as individuals also failed to know when to adapt their games. I don't know why James and Silva spent alot of their times exchanging words between themselves yet nothing was changing. Koulibaly for instance played 16 longballs and only 8 were successfull. This was to realieve pressure but instead ended up inviting more pressure. Fear of taking a takeon or Maybe lack of support overload.

Jorginho was dribbled past 4 times in the game and lost possession 5 times. Isolation plus lack of overloads.

Cucurella lost possession 19times and so did RLC

In such games, it's people who have attributes of close dribble like RLC that are supposed to maintain possession to kill and frustrate opponents pressing pressure. Instead he lost possession 19 times.

RLC and CuCu loosing 19 times posession each, thats a whooping 38times. Infact Koulibaly first yellow earlier in the game came as a result of him covering CuCus Marking and possesion mistakes.

It simpy means that Leeds knew chelsea strengths were in the wingbacks and that is where they pressed the most. But Jorginho, Gallagher, Mount were too isolated between themselves that the support overloads for the wingbacks just did not come.

Its either we were tactically inept or just too naive and too over excited having outrunned Tottenham last weekend.

I have always said there is a difference between just running and pressing. Sometimes you over work doing nothing. Like today

Its ingame adjustments when things are not working that wins matches and tittles

But again talking is easy and my one cent opinion only stops here
