Thomas Tuchel on Chelsea ambitions:

"I'm not sure it's why I don't want to put pressure on us or lower expectations. We should dig in, stay quiet, be humble. The next week has one headline, Tottenham."

"I think if we can add to the squad we add. Midfielders maybe not the first option but we can use new legs and fresh input to bring us to a new level. If not, we will push. We could use some input and more quality. We are on it."

Thomas Tuchel on new signings:

"Koulibaly came late and struggled. Raheem struggled physically at the end. Cucurella was very strong for 20 minutes. Koulibaly came off with just cramp."

"We are not on the highest level. Players came in late. Pre-season was turbulent. We had high training last week. We had not enough movement on the ball, more ball losses. Strange second half. 10 minutes extra time in the end, strange."

"We hang in and kept a clean sheet so from here we go."

Thomas Tuchel on Tottenham clash:

"It will be super tough. We will have a whole week to prepare and use this week. It's a big derby, a huge opponent, they had early transfer market and ready. They trained with their team, an advantage for them."

Marcos Alonso to Barcelona, matter of time as revelaed yesterday. Also Thomas Tuchel has confirmed he wants to leave: “Yes, Marcos asked to leave and we agreed to this”. 🚨🔵🔴 #FCB

“It would make no sense to put him on the pitch today”, Tuchel added via Adam Newson.

He was also discussed with Leicester days ago - it’s up to the player.

Hudson-Odoi will make a decision on his future in the next days.

Saul still supporting us 😍

Koulibaly recovers balls that he has no real right to recover. He doesn’t just look after his own zone, he covers for others too. That might be the thing I like about him most💙
He feels responsibility for the entire back line.
Magnificent on the ball too..precise passes👏

Player of the match at 37. Timeless. 🥶

Imagine waking up and still thinking about Cucurella's cameo. I can see why Pep wanted him and binned Zinchenko.

Ice cold on the ball, top class pass selection, aggressive tackler, non-stop runner, etc.

He's simply amazing even for the fee we paid. He's worth every penny.

Sterling easily unlocked Everton's stiff defensive structure with his runs and trickery on the ball but somehow Mount and Havertz fail to do this to an opposition team with the same structure .

Even last season we struggled to find solutions to a team with a low -block structure, unless one of Kovacic/J5 comes up with an excellent pass
Can vividly see why Tuchel wanted Raphinha and Sterling so much 👍

A one cent opinion

I will not trust Fotmob and Sofascore ratings again😂😂🚮

Chelsea will receive around €30M for Timo Werner from RB Leipzig. He will sign on a permanent deal.

Last time City signed a Dortumund player (Gundogan 16/17), City & Chelsea scored a penalty on the opening day & Chelsea went on to win the league.

City just signed a Dortmund player (Haaland) & both Chelsea & City scored a penalty on the opening day…
