Based on Tuchelโ€™s preferences, in a 3-4-3 it would be a Mount-Havertz-Sterling attack. Even with James & Chilwell back, the creativity in that team is too limited. A system which has a 4 man attack & new creator suits the team more. Even Mount would thrive more as a goalscorer.

Can Havertz be a creator ? Donโ€™t think so. Heโ€™s best as a box 9 who drifts out wide to create overloads. His top League Cup final performance epitomised this.He caused Matip & VVD issues drifting into those wide pockets. This type of play suits a 4 man attack much more than 3-4-3.

This PSG 4-2-2-2 was prime Tuchel-ball. The final third moves were incredible because of the runs of Mbappรฉ-Cavani up front and the creativity & interchanges of Neymar-Di Marรญa behind them.

Todd Boehly welcomed our latest partner WhaleFin, the digital asset platform powered by Amber Group and their CEO Michael Wu to Orlando and the Chelsea family yesterday.

Tuchel realised that he needs to lift the technical level of Chelseaโ€™s attack. No amount of coaching changes that issue. The targeting of Raphinha was a clear sign of that.Unfortunately for him,the transfer market alternatives for wide creators,is not good. And now itโ€™s an issue.

One player I'm genuinely fascinated by is Conor Gallagher. He has a pretty rare midfield profile - takes minimal touches and does almost all his damage in the final third.

Could be a huge weapon for us if he's used right.

He ranked in the 83rd percentile or above in ALL of these statistics:

โ€ข Shot quantity
โ€ข Shot quality
โ€ข Average shot distance from goal
โ€ข Touches in box
โ€ข Carries into box
โ€ข Progressive passes received
โ€ข Final third tackles
โ€ข Final third pressures

The biggest mistake you can make with him is to mid-profile him as a pivot midfielder because he's so energetic.

His energy is best utilized in the final third - his defensive intensity there produces chances out of nothing. He's an out-and-out final third weapon.

The closest stylistic comparison I can make is Seko Fofana - another midfielder who wrecks havoc everytime he enters the final third due to his activity.

Seko is far more polished on both sides of the ball, which is to be expected since he's a few years older.

I'm also very unsure about the Gallagher - Mount comparisons. There are some similarities - the energy, desire to impact the final third, etc - but there are way more differences.

Mount needs the ball way more than Gallagher, receives better, works better deeper.
