Can Havertz be a creator ? Donโt think so. Heโs best as a box 9 who drifts out wide to create overloads. His top League Cup final performance epitomised this.He caused Matip & VVD issues drifting into those wide pockets.This type of play suits a 4 man attack much more than 3-4-3.

Tuchel realised that he needs to lift the technical level of Chelseaโs attack. No amount of coaching changes that issue. The targeting of Raphinha was a clear sign of that.Unfortunately for him,the transfer market alternatives for wide creators,is not good. And now itโs an issue.
