Imagine selling them Zouma and Broja for 30m each then when we want one of their players they triple their asking price ..
Chelsea - "We want Rice "
West Ham - " pay 150m"
West Ham - "We want Broja"
Chelsea - " pay anything you want"

Kai Havertz predicts 'special year' for Chelsea and sends Romelu Lukaku message
A challenge lies ahead for Kai Havertz at Chelsea. He knows it too. Romelu Lukaku is gone and there is currently no sign of an out-and-out number nine being signed. So it will fall upon the German to take on the goalscoring responsibility during the 2022/23โฆ

How Koulibaly signing shall bring the best out of our attacking players
Chelsea signing of Koulibaly will have certain effect on how we build up our attack and how we defend and press with our attacking players.
Inspite of Rudiger's sometimes mesmerizing runs from the back, he was not regarded as a ball playing defender but more of a general defender. Koulibaly is a certain step up of Rudiger as they both offer aggression but Koulibaly gives more with ball playing too.
When Refering to ball playing, most people look only at the precise diagonal passes from the back but overlook the ability to step out with the ball from the back to beat press from several players and in return scatter opposition midfield shape. What Rudiger used to give was more of take ons than ball playing as it involved more runs than close dribbling. Koulibaly gives both aggression, ball reading, diagonal ball supply and Close dribble out of defence.
But how is this going to help our attacking players?
Besides the already known diagonal passes behind opposition defences from which pacy attackers like sterling can thrive on, it also give you the ability to do away with ball playing midfielders like Jorginho and holding dribbling midfielders like Kovacic and instead deploy two outright ball winning, defending midfielders at the base of the midfied. This in return helps attacking players worry less about dropping for defensive duties and put most of their strength in finding right spaces and energy for attack.
This helps the team maintain defensive width and the same time have solid attacking players on the field and the ability to feature Four ouright attacking players. This is in exclusion of marauding fullbacks who'd offer more width in attack.
Ethan Ampadu should be salivating at the prospects of game time alongside Kante at that base. Chelsea fans can salivate at the prospect of total attacking football next season.
But, Tuchel knows best. Ours is only one cent opinions

Thomas Tuchel:
"I would have loved to have had everybody here because Tino, Harvey and Billy had trained at a very high level and it would also have been nice to see them in some matches."
Thomas Tuchel:
"But in the end we had to take the decision to keep the quality high in training so we decided for 24 players as a maximum and thatโs why we went a bit smaller."
