#Chelsea 1-2 Tottenham: What were your three main takeaways from the pre-season defeat, Blues? 💭🔵

Club still have a lot of work to do in the transfer market. Result I don’t care about, it’s what’s in the result. Clear need for two more quality midfielders, a CB and an attacking LB at minimum.

Outgoings are going to be important this summer. Xabi Alonso isn’t a miracle worker, some of these players are simply not at the level to play for Chelsea football club

🚨BREAKING: Mike Penders is joining the team in Hong Kong. Robert Sanchez has a minor injury according to Xabi Alonso.

OFFICIAL: Danny Welbeck has joined #Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion on a contract until June 2028.

Alonso speaks with such authority and conviction. I love his interviews. The impression I get is that he will keep the club on their toes and make sure he gets backing every window. If he is not happy he will express it in no uncertain terms. He is the best hope of building something sustainable. It’s down to the directors.

With Barco and Henderson coming into the squad, Essugo could leave on loan.

I think Enzo, Caicedo, Barco, and Henderson can handle Alonso's demands better than Essugo at the moment.

Essugo needs to clean up his game in possession. He's an out-of-possession specialist, but to play in Alonso's pivot, you need to be able to handle the ball under pressure, receive under pressure, and make the right decisions under pressure.

From what I have seen, he struggles with those things. Maybe a loan to Strasbourg could help develop him more, because if he stays, I doubt he will get much game time considering the competition in his position.

Cole Palmer being Cole Palmer. 😂

🚨 BREAKING: Chelsea have received multiple approaches about Mykhailo Mudryk from clubs following the news of his return to football – including three from the PL.

All options are open between Mudryk and Chelsea this summer.

🚨 Chelsea want to see where Mykhailo Mudryk's performance levels are now at, as he has not played competitive football since November 2024! Another option this summer would be to send Mudryk on loan to Strasbourg. That would allow him to stay under BlueCo.
