It was just a matter of when.

The difference between how we are playing now and how Alonso does is how we defend transitions as well as the distance between different lines and phases

The truth is, Sunderland deserves Europa more than us.

They have truly been magnificent this season considering they just got promoted the other day.

For us, we wanted to use our history and name to force the Europa positions

So what’s the purpose of Cucurella? can someone tell me why we shouldn’t sell him?
😁73πŸ€·β€β™‚15🀑7❀1πŸ₯°1
Just bring Derry or another midfielder and leave Enzo on the wing. We can’t progress with Cucurella on the left
πŸ‘68❀8πŸ₯°1
Cucurella will get the ball and pass to the nearest player he sees, when he’s been pressed he’s found wanting because of how limited he is on the ball. And yet he’s playing on the wing

Now for everyone's sake, Sunderland needs to get their best bus and park it in the right place

We only needed a point today and still couldn’t do it. A disaster of a season and let this be the end of several players in a Chelsea shirt. I can’t look forward to next season right now because the downing of tools witnessed in the last 6 months is shameful.

Only once action takes place to help Alonso that’s when I can look forward to the future.

Madueke who had 3 league goals all season had more goals than Delap, Garnacho and Gittens combined (2) the whole season.

Grimaldo: 10 goals + 13 assists
Frimpong: 9 goals + 7 assists

That’s a combined 39 goal contributions from wingback positions.

Cucu pops in with 1–3 moments the whole season, and we forget how technically limited he is.

Gusto has almost zero attacking moments throughout the season.
Reece’s injury record wouldn’t even allow consistent deployment in that position.

If Alonso decides to ditch the back three, even more problems await him with our midfield and wingers. This only compounds the issue further.

Strengthening the wingback positions is not just critical; it’s also one of the easiest solutions considering the current profile of this team.

I mentioned Moreira and Quenda. Even that Barco kid can be a solution. Even the Antwi guy can be nurtured because they have better attacking skill sets than the current options.

But some people look at a player’s name, not their technical skills.

That’s why someone here said, β€œYou are stupid to think Moreira is an upgrade.”

These are the same fuckers who were crying for us to sign Lukaku and the rest.

Big names, shitty performances.

The wingback position is a limited market. And we must also strengthen other areas. We just have to be smart.

But when it’s the same people who were begging for the likes of Gittens and Garnacho to be signed, you have to understand that no matter how well you sing for a donkey, it will always believe its bray is the best.

Limited players, limited fan base but bloated expectations equates confusion.

For me, not making Europe is a blessing. These players have been overloaded for three years without a break, and this is a World Cup year.

Next season, they will have extended days off and recovery periods between games to reset.

Having key players missing the World Cup and having one game a week will give Alonso the best of both worlds: fresh players and time on the training pitch.

We will have no excuse not to finish in the top two or three in the league and make deep runs in the Cup. Next season is like Conte's first seasonβ€”a reset and a recharge. We really need it.

Not having Europe will be great for Alonso to implement his football in the shortest possible time. With Europe, it could take until December to bed in, and by January, fatigue will set in, as we saw in Maresca's first season.

For me, I want the best Premier League season we can have next season, with no complicated excuses for a bad run. And I believe we will have that.

World Cup snubbing is surely painful to Palmer. But Tuchel's words should hurt and push him even more next season. " He has not been decisive enough".

Compound it with Alonso appointment, enough rest, recovered injuries and One match per week Next Season, We may see a different beast.
