PSG’s manager : “I've read everything that has been said about Kimpembe 🇫🇷. We even laughed about it together. He's a player I like. He is direct in the human relationship. What will happen, I don't know. He is a great defender, a leader.

Tuchel on Koulibaly: "It's on its way but until it is not announced it is too early to speak about."

Tuchel is easing Sterling into training with an individual programme: "It's not the moment where he joins full team training every minute on the pitch."

Tuchel says it is unlikely that Raheem Sterling plays vs Club America tomorrow.

Tuchel on Armando Broja's injury: "He had a little accident in training after the ball control, he landed in a funny way on his ankle and achilles. He is in pain but did nothing. He is lucky he did not get injured. He is not training and in treatment."

[Nizaar Kinsella]

Tuchel on Broja: "Armando is our player first of all and at the moment we have no interest in selling him. He's here to make an impression after he played on loan at Southampton."

Thomas Tuchel on players having time off:

"I think you may see some players after the match tomorrow. Before the match is the time to focus and stay together as a team."

"When you were a Chelsea shirt, you are obliged to give our very best. That is what it is if you play and work for Chelsea."

Thomas Tuchel on young players needing to make a stand:

"Trevoh Chalobah is the role model. He came and then started in the Super Cup last season."

"You can make plans about all players but they are not worth the paper you write them on because they can change any minute and in any training."

"You have to simply be ready. The players that come from loan and want to make a statement here, they are invited."

Next up: Trevoh Chalobah

Trevoh Chalobah:

"As a young player, it was good to look up to someone like Antonio [Rudiger]. Now it's important for me to step up. I've had my debut season so now it's time to step up and do the same again."

Trevoh Chalobah on his advice to young players:

"You just need to impress, be ready, that's what I did last season and I want to do the same. If you give it your all, you never know what can happen."

Trevoh Chalobah on Raheem Sterling:

"It brings a lot to the team. We know what a big player he is and to get that player to join us is massive for us."

[via Adam Newson]

Trevoh Chalobah on centre-back signings:

"Chelsea are a massive club and are always going to try to strengthen. So for me, it's about doing ten times what I'm doing."

Trevoh Chalobah on Thiago Silva:

"Thiago is an idol I looked up to when I was young. As a young player, it's important for me to learn from him every day. He brings massive character to the team."
