Palmer was over his blip and back to his best; our defence looking solid with Colwill leading and ever present; we finally had enough cover in midfield to give Caicedo a rest with Essugo looking good. And Maresca was progressing with us.

When you think about it we've taken hit after hit this year - it's amazing.

We've been playing false 3-4-3 today something almost close to what Rosenior uses at Strasbourg.

To be frank I have seen lots of promises despite the fact that McFarlane is not him.

The greatest positive was doing away with the plenty of stupid pass after pass after pass I used to find issues with. There was urgency in passing and movements. Lots of attacking angles and directness. Lots of aggression and devotion in tackling.

Above all positive transitions from defence to attack.

Arsenal have suffered for 20 years and it's the thoughts of us becoming them that makes us shudder.

Liam Delap’s performance changed the game for us...that's the kind of link-up play we want to see from him often.
