Did you know, Enzo Maresca didn't want to work with Gallagher due to a lack of technicality in play to compliment his style?

Easy game for Bayern today. We were toothless upfront aside Palmer.

This game will serve as a reminder to the boys that they are back dining with the big boys.

It should hurt them, then motivate them to improve.

We start from low to high.

•Same old story… individual mistakes killing us again. Been happening since Poch’s time, when the whole revamp left us with no experience, no leadership, no chemistry. Cost us early last season in PL, cost us again tonight.

•Yes, under Maresca there’s growth, you can see the identity building but this was our first proper test at the top level and the nerves showed. Bayern are used to this stage, we aren’t. They looked calm, we looked shaky.

•That second half was painful to watch. Pressing all over the place with zero co-ordination. And then the errors switching off on the free-kick retake, a silly penalty, sloppy giveaways under pressure...you just can’t do that at this level.

•Hope the boys have seen the glimpse of how cruel this competition can be.Still early days. Benfica at home? No excuses. Must. Win.

I’m so sorry Maresca

We have but he always ends up in the hospital because his girlfriend is a nurse.

Olise is the first attacker against Cucurella i can hold my hand up and say has completely cooked Cucurella. The fact that he could’ve been our player is what angers me. He has every single thing. You know you’re in deep trouble when your winger’s best attributes are work rate and running.

It may sound like a dig, but in reality, it's a warning.

We ride adversity then we thrive on comebacks.

Because we are us.
