Full-time Thoughts:

◇Conceding from a throw-in in the last minute of a game after fighting back from 1-0 down… honestly, it’s heartbreaking.

◇Tonight has been a roller-coaster of emotions. Maresca clearly had Bayern on his mind, overthinking and protecting his key players and it ended up costing us 45 minutes of a PL game.

◇Second half was much better, the turnaround looked complete after Caicedo’s screamer and I genuinely feel for him, because that goal deserved to be the match-winner. Instead, poor defending let us down not once but twice. Tosin looked nothing like himself today, got exposed badly, and Fofana didn’t cover himself in glory either (can’t even run ffs).

◇Only Chalobah came out of that defence with credit felt like he was a one-man army back there.

◇This is one Maresca will want to erase straight away… straight into the bin. We move, but Bayern on Wednesday has to be so much better.

He’s not Lazy. he’s not a good player for this league it’s simple. No need to beat around the bush. Say it how it is. Sometimes trying your best is not enough and that’s the situation with Gittens

"New players need time" is the common scapegoat people use.

Neto, Pedro, Estevao, Palmer and more hit the ground running from the first minute.

Even kids from the academy like Walsh and Acheampong have been called to action and have been better.

Its down to mental strength. And mental strength is what defines the very top players from the average.

With the number of games we have this season, and the quality they will demand, we cannot afford hitch hikers.

It's either you can or you can't. ....and four games down the season, you need to show that you can.

Basically, you can choose to live by the common legitimate excuse which is fair, or you can choose to relive your greatest strength which is for the top cream.

On Jamie Gittens; he is obviously struggling with the pace of the league just like other Bundesliga buys like Woltemade (despite the goal), Wirtz, Simons etc.

They all look slower with the ball and decisions so far. As for Gittens, the talent is undeniable. I double down on my belief in his ability. He can't flop with that skillset. He just needs time.

i’m going to tell you two reasons why Chelsea fans are already against Gittens and why i perfectly understand them

1. Chelsea fans are getting impatient with signings like Gittens because the club keeps bringing in similar players: young and raw, but not ready for the Premier League's demands. Fans have seen this with Madueke, Angelo, Datro Fofana, Mudryk, Chukwuemeka, Guiu, Kellyman and others. These players show potential but struggle to perform consistently.

2. This pattern frustrates supporters. They want players who can make an immediate impact, not projects that need years to develop. The focus on potential over proven ability makes fans feel like the club is sacrificing short-term success for long term possibilities. And these young attackers who they would bring in the future would also suffer like this.
