The rotations are just crazy… you can clearly see it’s why the build-up looks off. Hato, Gittens, and Fofana don’t look settled at all. Chalobah is basically covering two positions by overlapping everytime, same with João Pedro who comes too deep into the midfield and in the process he’s overshadowing Bounanotte.

Tosin’s 1v1 defending in this game has been VERY questionable

Full-time Thoughts:

◇Conceding from a throw-in in the last minute of a game after fighting back from 1-0 down… honestly, it’s heartbreaking.

◇Tonight has been a roller-coaster of emotions. Maresca clearly had Bayern on his mind, overthinking and protecting his key players and it ended up costing us 45 minutes of a PL game.

◇Second half was much better, the turnaround looked complete after Caicedo’s screamer and I genuinely feel for him, because that goal deserved to be the match-winner. Instead, poor defending let us down not once but twice. Tosin looked nothing like himself today, got exposed badly, and Fofana didn’t cover himself in glory either (can’t even run ffs).

◇Only Chalobah came out of that defence with credit felt like he was a one-man army back there.

◇This is one Maresca will want to erase straight away… straight into the bin. We move, but Bayern on Wednesday has to be so much better.

He’s not Lazy. he’s not a good player for this league it’s simple. No need to beat around the bush. Say it how it is. Sometimes trying your best is not enough and that’s the situation with Gittens

Forgot to mention Neto, man would've loved a 'Haaland' like player in this team. Robbed off assists from so many good runs.
