Brentford have won three Premier League matches against Chelsea but all of them have been away from home β at home, they are winless in four against the Blues [D3 L1].
Just one of the eight Premier League meetings between Brentford and Chelsea have been won by the home side [D3 L4], a 2-1 win for the Blues in December 2024.
Chelsea have won as many as two of their first three Premier League games for only the second time in the last seven seasons [also two out of three in 2021-22].

Watching some of the games Mr Buonanotte has had against big and small teams including against us, He's got the talent to play well.
Let's hope it works out well for him

Thoughts on Gittens?
Itβs obviously still early days but he looks a bit raw/rusty π¬

The game is too open than I had initially thought it would be. Brentford chose to at least play rather than deploy the dark arts of bus parking.
It's just that we haven't had great control to be ahead.
It could be new players vs cohesion challenges

The rotations are just crazyβ¦ you can clearly see itβs why the build-up looks off. Hato, Gittens, and Fofana donβt look settled at all. Chalobah is basically covering two positions by overlapping everytime, same with JoΓ£o Pedro who comes too deep into the midfield and in the process heβs overshadowing Bounanotte.

Had it been Chalobah in that one v one we conceded the goal with, he'd have prevented it.
Very underated

Gitten's level of laziness and heaviness is just shocking.
I think he needs to be pulled out now

The number and quality of legs Cucurella alone brings in for this system to work is never mentioned enough
