No idea why people are opposed to Koulibaly's signing. Outstanding, outstanding transfer.

He's one of the world's best CBs and arguably an upgrade on Rudiger. His game will age excellently as well.

He's a lot like Van Dijk in the sense that his athletic prowess masks just how good he is in terms of reading and understanding the game.

The likes of Sarr, Colwill and Chalobah cannot ask for a better mentors than Silva and Koulibaly. They should be buzzing.

- Expected Chelsea

Napoli manager : “I always prefer Koulibaly to everyone. If he chooses to go, we won't stop thanking him for the help he has given us. If he wants to choose something else we will wish him well, He deserves it."

Chelsea are getting closer to signing Kalidou Koulibaly. They had a meeting with his agent today, with the club preparing an official offer for the defender. Chelsea want to wrap up the deal quickly.

Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti on Kalidou Koulibaly: “He really is remarkable. He always adds those two or three notches more than anyone else. He’s an extraordinary leader and a great man. We are what we do, not what we say.”

Carlo Ancelotti on Koulibaly when Carlo was Napoli manager:

"He’s the best in the world in his position. In my opinion, he’s worth £130m"

Regardless of age, we're still signing one of the best CB's in world football.
