Enzo Maresca:
"Fantastic. Club World Cup champions, we are very proud. PSG are the best team in the world. It was a top performance."
On tactical battle:
"As you said, they have three midfielders: Reece, Moi and Enzo. We thought we had a good opportunity to exploit the space.
"[PSG] have three midfielders and two of them were in charge of Reece and Moi. Vitinha was in charge of Enzo. We thought it was a good chance to exploit the space with Cole and Malo. It was the game plan..."
"At the end of the day, you can give a plan but you need your players to execute and they did that so well."
"I work every day just to improve myself. I try to learn. Every session and game, I just try to do better. It's been a fantastic season. I am just happy for the players."
"I think we won the game in the first 10 minutes and we came here to show we can get this win with the utmost respect to your opponents."
"When I joined the club - I said I was in love with the squad but we said talent wasn't enough and you need a game plan and to think the same way. We did this because of them."
"The message was quite clear [pre-match]. We won the game in the first 10 minutes. The message before the game was 'let them understand we are here to win the game'. It set the tone of the game..."
On the Club World Cup:
"This competition, to be honest, I told my players that this competition will become just as important or even more important than the Champions League. I was part of a techincal staff that won the Champions League and enjoyed every minute of this - I think this competition with all the best clubs around the world - will become more important than the Champions League. We can give this as a source of pride to Chelsea fans."
On Marc Cucurella:
"He will be the soul of the party tonight. I don't want to talk about any single player but for Cucu, I do, he is a smart player and one of the main characters in the locker room. He will be the soul of the party."
On Cole Palmer:
"These are the games where we expect Cole to appear. These are big games, big moments and once again he showed how good he is."
"I think during the season we were heading in the right direction, we ended the season well and we lifted the fantastic trophy. Fortunately, we have lifted this and I will go on holiday. We will see what happens next season."
On Luis Enrique, Joao Pedro and Donnarumma brawl:
"After the final whistle, I approach Luis to talk to him and I saw that something was going on but I don't know what happened really."
On Robert Sanchez:
"I usually say the opponent gives us the solution. If the opponent does what PSG does then we have to use long balls and clearances by the goalkeepers [instead of passing it around]. It depends on what the opponents do."
On Enzo Fernandez:
"We are extremely happy with Enzo, not only today but through the whole season. He played in a different position today."
Additional bit on tactics: "The idea was to go man-to-man."
"We prepare and plan for the games depending on our next opponent. I try to learn every day, I learned from watching Luis Enrique at Barca, PSG and Spain's national team."

This was as close to a βperfectβ performance as you can get. Everyone was fantastic, I mean how good was Robert Sanchez today??? The entire team, including the subs, had a level of hunger, composure, and dedication that every winning club needs.
And how about the manager? Maresca, take a bow. Iβm not sure what it was, but he had PSG completely and totally dumbfounded for all 90 minutes. An absolute masterclass from him.
And nowβ¦ Chelseaβ¦ best club in the world - and we get that title for the next 4 years. π
