CHAMPION-ship

Save for overthinking sometimes, there are very few managers with the tactical acumen of Maresca that you can trust in a final. This world cup has shown his adaptability from his revered Inverts, and we have been great.

I know sometimes enough is never enough. But From where we were, to where we are now there's tremendous progress. A win could however be the icing on the cake and a bonus to us.

The only thing is, we must be attentive and smart from start to end.

In such big games against big teams, you cannot start in a poor way and rectify like we have done plenty of times this season. We must get everything right from the on set and remain attentive and intelligent throughout.

Champion from the Championship. That's what he will be saluted.

We watching them today

Men this is co-ordinated chaos.

All of a sudden Madrid looks like Crystal Palace.

The trick is to stop their dribbles.

The question is how

Maybe start Caicedo, Essugo, Santos, Lavia at the same time๐Ÿ˜

But not all of them are available...

But you cannot start Nkunku in this match. Unless we want to eat well well like Inter Milan

Hakimi, Vitinha and Mendes are out of this world..if we want to beat Psg , contain those three.

Nobody mention the Attackers, they're the easiest to contain if our defence know what they're doing.Minimize the ball going towards them and don't let them have space.

I need Rudiger to harm either Hakimi or Dembele or both for me to solidify his legend status at Chelsea.

These guys will be running at Sanchez and he will be seeing just stars.

Also our lone DM unless we provide him solid outlets, we will be caught up easy and fast the way Madrid collapsed in the first few minutes... Or Like how Lavia was caught up against newcastle.

But our wingers press. And if Caicedo, Lavia can be fit, and our wingers fight, (that's Why I say No Nkunku), we will have a chance

You know what kept Bayern in the game vs PSG? Or atleast match PSG's intensity, their goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. His distribution and calmness under pressure (aside from 2 occasions) were top notch. He kept finding his attackers with accurate long balls which helped the team move up the pitch.

Could we say the same for Sanchez, let's hope so.

If we ourselves are analyzing like this, what of Maresca?

I hope he doesn't overthink.

Remember we build with one DM with new Maresca formation. This lets us have 5-6 players in attacking positions.

If the DM and the three CBs can hold their nerves during this rampant PSG press, and ensure successful pass completions, We will be in business.

But if Sanches will be panicking and kicking balls carelessly upfront, it will be pressure after pressure from PSG.

Sustained pressure, you collapse

When Felipe Scolari Joined Chelsea, he introduced zonal defensive marking that required players to mark Spaces rather than Individuals.

Against players that are determined to carry balls through people like the way PSG does, when you commit into tackling you always end up losing. And also this tends to force alot of players into marking and individual runner resulting to lots of spaces in behind.

The trick with the Scolari system is to remain compact and defend the next short space they are likely to run into.

This also included zonal shift marking to defend opposite wide areas. This counters the PSG constant and instant change of balls to opposite wings.

Maybe we can borrow a leaf

Does everyone agree with me when i say we need to start Caicedo, Andrey and Enzo?

I have seen people calling for a Delap start.

My issue with this is his overall game contribution and work rate.

We will need someone to constantly pin Vitinha and Ruiz by dropping deep, as well as hold possession as long as possible beside making the runs.

So far, from what I have seen, he can't do this better than Jackson and JP.
