If we get our recruitment right on the wingers we get next, we might worry Europe, These current wingers doesnโt fill me confidence at all. The Biggest teams in Europe now have Workd class wingers who decide games on their own.

Maignan??
When Buttler was calling him Magic Mike, I was honestly seeing Shambolic Mike. Am not at all pissed with his failed transfer. In fact, I am relieved.
While Mike Footwork is daring and commendable, the man's propensity to concede some weird daft goals was triggering alarm bells in me. Maignan is another product of media created paper tiger. "Superstar goalkeeper" they say
He definitely would have given us ball playing confidence. Just like Onana does. But what is the essence of superior secondary traits and shambolic primary traits.
If you look at his weak foot side goalkeeping and near post protection, I honestly think we've dodged another bullet.
10M to me was more than fair valuation. Anything more than that could have been heist on us.
Do we need a goalkeeper? It's both yes or no. Depends with what you think
Am I pleased with the transfer window so far? Nope. I think we have been so shambolic and lacked precision. We have just been all over and confused like we didn't know what we wanted.
This is my only frustration so far

Chelsea club briefs :
Chelsea rate all 4 goalkeepers and will evaluate all of them at the CWC. Chelsea are not looking to sign a GK.
โฌ๏ธ
Maresca rates Maignan and wants a new goalkeeper; he believes he needs someone with better distribution.
โฌ๏ธ
Chelsea have pulled out of Maignan deal. Maresca never asked for him and Chelsea are happy with their 4 GKโs.
โฌ๏ธ
Petrovic, Sanchez, Jorgensen and Penders will all get a chance to battle for the number one spot.
โฌ๏ธ
Chelsea have now emitted Petrovic from the CWC squad. He has interest from lots of clubs.
The fans are not idiots. Wtaf.

This Maignan saga is absolute nonsense, we overspend on nothing players and can give Milan 5m more in what is already a cut price for a world class GK.

Essugoโs transfer flew under the radar, but he could prove to be one of the most underrated signings of the season if Lavia replicates his usual absence.

Joรฃo Fรฉlix at Chelsea honestly couldโve been something special, but timing and circumstances just didnโt go his way. With Cole Palmer stepping up the way he did, it was always going to be tough for Fรฉlix to truly shine. The two just couldnโt play together โ not because of talent, but because their roles clash too much. If I were Fรฉlix, I wouldโve seen that and looked for a move earlier, in which he did. It just wasnโt meant to be.
Palmer is clearly our guy now, and with him in that No.10 role, I doubt weโll ever go for another creative playmaker in that mold again. So yeah, in the end, signing Fรฉlix felt more like a response to all the Gallagher transfer drama than a well-thought-out plan.
No hard feelings though โ Joรฃo is pure talent and still has so much to give. Wishing him nothing but the best in whatever comes next.

๐ฃ Enzo Maresca: "Luis Enrique has built a spectacular PSG, in my own small way at Chelsea I try to do the same.โ
โข Nice words from Maresca, but truth is, he wonโt achieve that with the current sporting directors gambling on raw prospects. PSG have a proper core โwith a mix of experienced players whoโve been at the top level for years. Chelsea? We're stacking the squad with ex-City teenagers hoping they all turn into the next Palmer.
โข Palmer worked โ yes, and credit to him โ but itโs naive to think itโll be that straightforward with everyone else. Not every signing is going to click like that. Without a solid spine of proven quality, Marescaโs โspectacularโ project will stay a dream.

โข Chelsea have added Liam Delap, Darรญo Essugo, Mamadou Sarr and Andrey Santos to a talented young squad. But the emphasis is on 'young' and it has been crying out for some quality and experience, particularly in key moments. We will judge at the end of the window.
โข This first window was always going to be a bizarre one and no doubt some clubs have tried to charge a 'CWC tax'. However, the end line is Chelsea once again have looked amateurish on a number of levels through the publicity and voracity of media briefs and updates.Again, this was a short window and there is still plenty of time to rectify this and sign the quality. But it will be another massive failure for the directors to not achieve this by September, particularly as Enzo Maresca himself has commented on the lack of experience.
