This is exactly the thinking Arsenal used when they loaned Sterling. Him being terrible still cost them because they had to play Saka non stop, despite the low risk. We should not be justifying loading our team with mediocre players because of the low risk.

I always said Felix and Drewsbry Hall unnecessary, and now we're looking to sell them just 1 season after signing them. We can't keep making the same mistakes.

I got behind the Delap signing because I assumed he would be the only 'good value' signing we'd do this window, but if that's the strategy for the whole window I don't see us challenging for anything big anymore.

Right now we need needle movers, players that can take us from 4th to challenging for titles. Garnacho doesn't do that, Gittens doesn't do that, and I doubt any player valued under 50 million does.

It would have been seriously crazy to sign sancho based on that Betis Final goal. I was honestly shocked when people said he had earned his transfer with that goal when he was shitty the whole season. A while back I said I'd even pay 200M to united to send him back.

I think £25m is pretty good for a world class goalkeeper. He's almost 29 and in the last year of his contract.

He's unwilling to extend with them because they gave him a new contract in January which he agreed to then they rescinded that and tried to offer less.

Let's sign him and try to keep Petrovic. Maignan is injury-prone, so we can give Petrovic good minutes.

You can't talk of "Value for Money" when refusing to pay 30M for Maignan (which is true considering the contract expiry), then go pay some crazy money for potential.. (and this is not a comparison of Maignan and Ekitike. Isolate them individually based on value)
